About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Winter and wet conditions
I always enjoy this layout. It was cart path only after rains the day before. Greens are very quick.
Staple
Always one of my favorite courses to play. Greens were fantastic for January. Still need work on the tee boxes. Always seems to be an issue. Otherwise we’ll worth your time.
Wait to play
Love playing this course but not in very good shape right now. Trailer tracks on every hole and lime chucks everywhere. I know they are getting it ready for the year to come but it’s something the need to tell you before booking. I will go back because it is a great course but now isn’t the time to go.
Well maintained, challenging, fun course
A buddy and I were in town for the Presidents cup, decided to get out for a round ourselves while in town. Coming from northern VA, there were some different grasses on the course than we were used to, and the greens were super-fast to us which was fun and challenging. Course seemed fairly wide, easy to pick what shot to hit, and for our first time around the track, I would 100% play it again should I find myself in the area. I will say there was a NHRA race going on next door which added some LOUD distraction on the front 9 but that's not their fault. The only reason I gave an average rating on the off-course amenities is that the range was closed that day. So, we hopped out of the truck after a 5.5-hour drive and played with only a couple of practice swings on the first tee box. The focus of this review should be that I will likely make an effort to play here again.

This tge first game of golf I have played in America since arriving in Concord on holiday. I realky enjoyed the facilities and the course wkas lovely..
Among the Top 5 in Charlotte
Fun track, (even for non NASCAR guys 😂😂)! Cool atmosphere on days they’re using the drag strip (especially on #2) and/or race track. Some excellent par 5s, especially #3 and #18 with some uniques challenges!

Great greens for public course
Very nicely laid out golf course, challenge to average golfer, even from a senior tees, it was really challenging, especially due to very firm and meticulously kept beautiful green
Golf near the speedway
Our private course was closed on Monday so we decided to head north toward the Speedway to play Rocky River. We've always enjoyed the layout, the staff friendliness, and the challenge. If I lived near RR, I could see me making that my home course. We will definitely return in the future.
Great golf, fun layout
We enjoyed our visit. Golf was great. They were out of Diet Coke. Really? Food was so-so, but we went for the golf so it was all good.
