About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

The fairways were slightly wet, greens were still fast, always a great course to play.
My favortie Public Course
Rocky rive is the best muni you're going to find around here. Great practice area, challenging layout and well maintained. I play here as often as I can. The only problem is that its usually booked solid but that's great for the course.
Great as usual
This course is always great, I live playing here (and it’s only 10-15 mins from my house) )got stuck behind a slow a - -group so the pace kinda sucked and so did my golf game. Will definitely be back
Great Course, good challenge
Course was in great condition for this time of year. Great mix of challenging holes for a wide range of skill levels. If you’re not in the fairway, expect a lot of difficult lies.
Fantastic Fall Course
Rocky River doesn’t fail to impress. Despite heavy rain 2 days prior. Purse was in great shape and green were quick and rolled beautifully. This is one of my favorite public courses outside of Conxord,NC
Enjoyable round
Course was very nice but you have to be willing to put up with the noise from the race track (NASCAR and dirt track). Make sure there are no major races on the day you play.
Solid Option in the Charlotte area!
Greens were in great shape, especially for fall. Course is not overly challenging or long, but we only played the green tees. The tips may have been a bit more of a challenge. Hit lots of 3W off the tee. Most fairways were generous, and the bunkers were in good shape. Only complaint would be some chewed up par 3 tee boxes that had weeks of unfilled divots. Oh, and they didn't allow anything above an iron on the range. Not a deal breaker, but hat should be on their website.

Best Public Course in the Area
I love this course! It is always in great condition. The greens are always well-maintained fast and true. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Larry is the perfect ambassador.
Excellent Condition!
From Tee to Green the course is in excellent shape. I enjoy the course layout. The cross winds can be a challenge and most of the pin placements have your ball going up or down and left or right. Fun course to play.
Fast greens
The greens were smooth and fast, the fairways were lush. A great layout but a little expensive unless you get a hot deal online. Will try to get back here often.
Beautiful course
The greens were the best I’ve played in the area. They were fast and smooth which made chipping from around the greens challenging. The course has a great layout and conditions. I will definitely play it again.
Fantastic
I love playing here. The greens are rolling great and extremely fast (I play 5 times a week and these are by far the fastest in the Charlotte Metro).. They are finally getting their tee boxes all back open as well. Golfers should put this course on their play list.
