About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Great vakue
Perfect greens, true and fast. Fairways, tee boxes great too. Special call-out for the sand traps - all were raked and plenty of sand ( if only we can get our fellow golfers to rake after their shot! What do they think those rakes laying there are for?).

Awesome course
I’m town for presidents cup and found this gem. The reviews don’t lie. This course is great conditioned and very beautiful. Great greens and layout make this a must play if near Charlotte
Slow Play
Marshall was unable to speed up foursome ahead of us.The marshal told me that the foursome said that they did not think that we were pushing them yet on four holes in particular we were clearly in their sight as we waited.
Maybe the best public course in Charlotte
Went a day after heavy rain but the course had drained really well. Greens in great shape along with the course overall. We played cart path only and still finished in about 4 hours (albeit the course wasn’t too crowded). Great course
Nice course, a little tight for me, but enjoyable
Paired with three others,. My partner was a local fellow and he guided us out of trouble, so that was good. The course was in great shape, though re-seeding on one hole. No problem.
Great course, staff and experience
First time visit and had a great round. Course in excellent shape, staff was very friendly and welcoming, greens rolled fast and true. Plenty of cold water on the course on our hot day. We ordered food (chicken wraps) on hole 8 and it was ready at the turn and tasted great. Plenty of food and beverage options.
Course offers plenty of tee options. My wife was with me and the red tees are well placed and made for a great time for her. Large, well manicured fairways helped too! Great course for the money. Highly recommend.
Only suggestion is that the range needs cleaning buckets for the clubs. Minor thing but would help prior to going to the first tee.
We will definitely come back.
