About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Awesome experience
Had an amazing time! Course was in great shape. Challenging for mid to low handicappers. The back 9 is tougher than the front and the greens are lighting quick! Overall a gem of a course.

Really nice course. Only downside was no beverage cart and some work being done on the course. Otherwise, very nice.
Greaaaaaaaat Course
They are doing everything right at this place. Friendly staff at bag drop and in the pro shop. There was an actual cart girl which was awesome and came around 4 times during my round. Course was in great shape and was a terrific day of golf. Hands down they have set the bar for public courses in the Charlotte area!
Great staff and challenging greens
Love the staff attitude, from check-in to car return. The starter did a good job getting everyone tee'd off right and the marshall helped keep all groups on schedule. The course is well-manicured and in great shape. The greens are fast, multi-level, smooth and challenging. Great course to push your entire golf game!
Fun course in great condition
Buddy and I played for first time. Really nice course with a great mix of shots.
Nice Course, frustrating carts
The one issue is they have overly controlled the carts using the built in GPS. Many ares that normally you’d expect to drive into are electronically cordoned off. In some cases they close the fairway to carts 60-70 yards out, slowing play and if you mistakenly drive in, they shut the cart down and you must reverse out at about 3 mph.
Time for some TLC
I always enjoy this course due to the variety of the holes and the conditions of the greens which are always quite smooth although tricky to read. The only surprise was the conditions of the tee boxes which clearly had gone downhill, many of which were mostly hard dirt with little grass. For the money they are charging I found this a bit disappointing. I will certainly return but hope this review is read and acted on.

Decent but not for the rate.
Course is in pretty good shape. However I’d say that for 75$ I can think of many courses in the area that are a better value.
Nice Track
Found this to be a nice facility. Some holes you cannot see the pin or green from the tee, so a little disconcerting. Overall in good condition, nice that they added GPS to their carts.
