About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

The greens had just been aereated 4 days ago.
My only complaint would be that I did not know they had just aereated the greens 4 days ago, so putting in greens with sand was bumpy & slower than I am used to playing. It was have been nice to have a warning posted on the website that greens had just been aerated. I appreciate the discounted price to play a quality golf course, but if I had known in advance, I probably would have opted for a different golf course.

Great round of golf. We knew the greens had recently been worked on, so that was fine. Loved the layout, great place to play.
Wonderful Community Golf near Charlotte, NC
Terrific course near Charlotte, NC - right off the interstate by the race track. Nice to play without houses on the course! Lovely wooded holes - enough challenges to keep it interesting! The staff is fantastic - help with setting up and taking off golf bags, cleaning clubs, etc. The grill features a full bar with limited menu. Really enjoyed playing it.
Great Place
Great greens, great staff, great fairways. Tough place to score on some of the greens if you are not careful. A few holes definitely for shot makers. Awesome experience.
Rocky River
Play this course for the second time and the first time in 15 years or so. Great layout, great condition, good pace of play, and overall very enjoyable round from my foursome. I will be playing again soon.
Good course fast greens
Greens were firm putted true and extremely fast. Couldn’t hardly make a SW stop with spin. Lots of trees if you struggle like I do to hit it straight every time with the big stick you will loose a lot of balls. Hard ground huge roll which is good and bad.
Great local course
One of the top 5 or 6 municipal course in our area. Good layout, big greens, fast fairways (not much rain) Great staff, energetic grounds people. Always enjoy it and is part of our rotation every other week

I played in early June and the course was in excellent condition. I am from NJ and my first time playing there. For a public course I was very impressed and will definitely be back again.
