About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

In fantastic shape.
Doing some renovations but greens, fairways are beautiful and the entire course is playing great!
Greens in great shape
Rocky River is a solid course with excellent greens. Front 9 fairly open, back nine more challenging with fewer side by side holes. Great course to walk with close tee boxes - they do not have push carts though, so bring your own or carry your clubs.

Tee boxes are plush, greens are firm and true, staff are super accommodating. If you keep the ball in play and out of the woods you will be rewarded! Absolutely mint greens for a public course!
Awesome experience
Had an amazing time! Course was in great shape. Challenging for mid to low handicappers. The back 9 is tougher than the front and the greens are lighting quick! Overall a gem of a course.

Really nice course. Only downside was no beverage cart and some work being done on the course. Otherwise, very nice.
Greaaaaaaaat Course
They are doing everything right at this place. Friendly staff at bag drop and in the pro shop. There was an actual cart girl which was awesome and came around 4 times during my round. Course was in great shape and was a terrific day of golf. Hands down they have set the bar for public courses in the Charlotte area!
Great staff and challenging greens
Love the staff attitude, from check-in to car return. The starter did a good job getting everyone tee'd off right and the marshall helped keep all groups on schedule. The course is well-manicured and in great shape. The greens are fast, multi-level, smooth and challenging. Great course to push your entire golf game!
Fun course in great condition
Buddy and I played for first time. Really nice course with a great mix of shots.
