Westport Golf Course

First Time playing this course. Teed off 2PM Saturday afternoon and had no problem finishing 18 in 3.5 hours. The Greens were absolutely perfect!!!! Spongy And Smooth....every put rolled true.

Now for the Negative...the Fairways were hard and bare in some spots. It was obvious their money is spent taking care of the greens and the tee boxes and fairways are on their own. That being said, still way worth it for the price!!! I’ll play it again for sure!!!

First time at course . Thought it was a very nice. Good condition and great layout. Perfect course for couples since it was adjusted well off the tees. Great value. Will definitely play there again.

Hearing great things about tifeagle greens I was excited to play even after other reviews mentioned the rough fairways. I have played on recently plugged greens before but these were atrocious. It was like putting on pebbles. Sand was heavy on some spots and completely missing in others. Had to play the front 9 twice as I assume they were bludgeoning the back 9. Would have been nice to know this was going on when I booked the time. Tried to make the best of it since I was with my 11 year old son... golf is hard enough and it is not very enjoyable under those conditions. Staff was nice enough but they tried to play it off with “every course is going through this now”. I’m sure most are in the area but i’ve played many that handle it much better.

Great layout fairways could use some work but the greens were perfect and the value was fantastic.

Westport always has great deals to play here; on a spring Saturday afternoon, it was just $29; can't beat that! It's still early in the season, so the fairways and rough were still growing in, but the greens were in very good shape for this time of year. Not a huge fan of the layout because there are several holes with water hazards in the middle of fairways that cause the golfer to lay up off the tee with a mid to long iron. There's also no driving range, but there is a putting and chipping green to warm up with. The clubhouse is also little more than a small pro shop and a snack bar. But for public golf, it's not too bad.

Overall somewhere I will come back to. Greens were slow but smooth, buckets were good, fairways should grow in, tee boxes could use some work. Fun layout with several holes requiring less than driver. If you can get a discount rate very worth the drive.

Was wet as we had rain up until the tee time, but it drains well. Fairways coming in, tee boxes soggy, greens good. We will be back, great layout.

One of my favorite tracks.. lots of unique holes. The greens are always in good condition and its good value for the money.

Westport is a nice course with a great layout. We played after a good rainy night. Course drained nice, just don’t listen to the weather forecasters,

it was raining and drizzling most of the round. Looking forward to sunnier days!

I would have never imagined the peaks and valleys the Westport greens had endured. The last time we played the greens were in horrible shape. So naturally we stopped coming out. But when we played today we were very pleased and surprised with the turnaround. The course looked great. So I texted my golf buddies and told them to add Westport back to the rotation.

Great place to play if you're looking for a fun, budget friendly round. Not the best designed course (why in the world are there three holes with lakes in the middle of the fairway???) The greens recovered nicely from a rough winter, and the temporary greens are all gone. No driving range or designated chipping area, and just a basic clubhouse. Great bargain though, at just $25 during the week.

Course has done a 180 and has really improved from this summer! The greens are in great shape and the staff is really working hard to keep improving the course daily.

Westport had recently had to re do their greens due to winter kill. The greens are back and the course is looking excellent! Was pleasantly surprised with the positive changes the staff have been able to make. Best bang for your buck golf course in the area. Pace of play was great even with a packed course. The beer selection in the pro shop was top shelf. Staff friendliness was 10/10.
