Westport Golf Course

Over the last few years, the course has been putting just enough money into to it to keep it playable. That has changed. It is no longer playable. The greens are not maintained. They are in the middle of significant tree removal on portions of the course and some fairways have massive tractor ruts from the construction vehicles. Tree debris is scattered everywhere.

Granted I played in Mid march, but the course hasn’t been taken care of in years. Tree work being done on many holes which I believe should have been disclosed before play.

Such a shame because the layout of the course is challenging but not worth the money at all.

Im writing this review as I’m waiting on the tee box. I paid $15 after all discounts and everything and I still give it a 1. Course conditions are bad but still playable if the pace of play wasn’t god awful. There’s no starter so they’re a ton of 2 somes. Pace of play is nonexistent. Today, they had non members go off the back 9 only while the members play the front 9 only and there was maybe 2-3 member groups out there? Mind boggling how dumb of an idea that is. Again, for $15 its not worth it, go to the driving range for less

I don't normally write bad reviews unless it's really bad. For $50 it was not worth it. Sprinkler heads were literally on the green. Fairways were like hitting of hard pan every time. This place needs serious attention. Would make a better dog park.

I love playing at Westport. It’s a great value course in the Charlotte region. We are still in winter so the conditions are as expected. The course has a great layout and friendly staff!

Needs a lot of help, owner and staff don’t care just want to charge more, stay away, hoping some else buys it to make it playable.

Front 9 putting forgettable due to weeds, tee boxes need seeding and tees cleaned.

Saddest conditions on a golf course I have ever played.

Tufts of grass growing through the greens. Mud and bald spots everywhere. This is the worse course I have ever played. Save your money and just chip around a gravel parking lot instead.

The greens have gotten much worse since last time, weeds taking over almost every green. The course has so much potential.

I hate that this course doesn’t have a driving range. The course itself is rough on its best day. Playing pretty much off dirt in the fairways. I’ve played here a few times hoping it would get better but it stays consistently bad. Course layout is challenging which I would like if this course was in better shape. Amenities are lacking. One bathroom. No wonder they always have availability for a round. If it’s the only course you can get into for the day then at least you get to play. But definitely not a preferred course.

Definitely not worth the $. Fairways are worse than my yard and greens aren’t much better. Just ride down Fairfield and look at 3 and 4.
