Cedarbrook Country Club

This course is located just outside Elkin, NC where I grew up. I did not live very far from the course and remember when it was constructed. I try to play every time I go back home and it is always an enjoyable round. The course is challenging but fun. The staff there is first rate. Sunday brunch is not to be missed. I am very pleased that Cedarbrook is on this list and is getting the attention that it so deserves.

Course was in excellent condition with overseeded rye fairways. Greens were outstanding and fast. Staff has done a good job of blowing leaves, but windy day allowed some to blow onto course. Staff is always welcoming and will go out of their way to fit one in if play is busy. Lots of terrain changes so many shots will be played off downhill or sidehill lies. What you see is what you get. Delent amount of room off or tees, but if you really miss, ball will be hard to find.

This is great course to make you a better Golfer. When your round is over you can't wait until the next opportunity to come back. we played after two days of rain, and play was cart path only, we elected to walk and found it be a great walking course. thanks for the opportunity. Drove 2 hours from Raleigh to play. My friend said it was a nice course, with tricky greens. Played on a Sunday. One 4-some ahead of us that let us play through. Finished in under 4 hours. Nice rolling terrain, with a mix of uphill, and downhill approach shots. Water comes into play on about 4 to 5 holes. Friend had a buffet lunch for $9.99, and said it was very good! I think on Sundays the buffet runs till 3pm. Staff was very friendly, and we will play there again! Also, they over-seeded recently,so will be green all winter.

My favorite course around home. Zim and his staff have always taken care of my friends and I. Will continue to go back!

Well worth the money. Best conditions I've played all year.

Played w/ my husband, and we were amazed at how great the course shape was. When I called and asked the condition or if they had lost any fairways to ' winter kill' I was told every thing was green, green, green, b/c they over-seeded in the winter. They were right. Everything was in beautiful shape and very green. Great layout, great shape, and the price was great also. We paid just $21.00 each for after 2pm. Do yourself a favor and play this course, you will not be disappointed.

Great facility. Great staff. Superb greens. Over seeded in the winter which is spectacular. No winter kill. Tee boxes and fairways in great shape. Great pace of play. You'll use every club in the bag. Head pro Zim and his staff are first class. Go see em. Can't say enough about how much I like the place. I play the tips and it gives me a good test and my wife or a beginner can play forward and it's totally enjoyable for them. Food is great also.

I can't say enough good things about this course. It is in really good shape. The sand traps are the only part in bad shape. The pace of play was quite slow as well, but it was a nice day and it wasn't a problem.

This course is in excellent condition. Greens and fairways are great. I highly recommend it. I will play this again, preferably as soon as possible.

Cedarbrook CC was in super condition. The past few courses I have played have lost fairways over the winter and played horrible, but Cedarbrook was like a dream come true. Everything,and I mean everything, was perfect and both challenging and rewarding. The course has some real challenging greens and some narrow fairways which makes you think about what shot you need to hit next. This in my opinion is truly a 5 Star course with all the extras. Thanks to Zim and his staff.

Course is in great conditions for the area, greens are smooth and quick, some splotchy areas in the rough and bunkers could use a little work all in all great value at ~30 dollars

Its a rewarding yet challenging course. I play from the red and found all tee boxes in good shape. Sometimes they neglect these tees. Fairways are split between blind shots and open and some with undulations towards a bowl up the fairway. Fairways in good shape but greens are immaculate and tough. Good for a home course where you have some time to figure them out. For first timers the breaks were many and greens slick. Bunkers are well sanded mostly. I liked this course a lot. All forced carries were doable for me, whereas some courses aren't. I would love to play this course again and again.

I've not played here since late last year, but knew they had overseeded during the winter and it really shows. One of the few courses I've played lately that had grass! Fairways, rough, greens all in great condition and so very playable. We had a group in front of us that had one walker, but we were really held up by the three walkers in front of them. Took about 4.5 hours to play, but with the conditions like they were, no complaints about being out there.

Great golf course in excellent condition. This is my third time playing here and will return soon. Great tees, fairways and greens. Consistent sand traps that were well groomed. Great place for an outing.

Great course, greens are full but challenging to putt. Fairways in the best shape I have played anywhere this year. The gentleman behind the counter very friendly. I felt like I was appreciated for being there. Looking forward to going back!

Course conditions were excellent, the greens seemed to be slower than they normally are. Staff is very friendly and actually seem to be glad you are playing their course.

Really nice course layout with doglegs, some challenging water hazards, and rolling terrain. Fair test of golf in a scenic part of NC. A few greens had extreme slopes making ball positioning very important.

I was disappointed after first hole. There was nothing special rated five stars .Yes , it should be rated five stars. Fairways are overseeded, greens roll nice and sloped. Each hole is fun to play . I really love 12th hole.It's view is so beautiful. replay is 15 for 18 holes .nice deal
