Cedarbrook Country Club

This course is about an hour from our home but my son and I, and sometimes others, really enjoy playing here. Great layout. Each hole is completely different and a lot of fun to play. Course conditions have been great since we started playing here, a few months ago now.

We found a time on Golf now and decided with the 4.6 star review, 27$ was a steal. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Course was in great shape and play speed was great. Greens are extremely undulated. Definitely need to bring your best short game because if you are not writhing 10 feet you can pretty much Guarantee a 2 or 3 putt minimum. Definitely planning on returning soon and taking some friends with me. We went from Boone and even including gas we spent less than we would have to play Boone Golf club, and they are very similar as far as how well maintained they are.

Found a great rate online and decided to make the hour and 15 minute drive from Boone to play. Course layout is great with several challenging holes. Pin location was very tight but that may have been for a tournament coming up. Low lying areas were still a little mushy and that would be the only complaint but sometimes there's not much you can do with that. Will certainly be back and will bring back many newcomers.

This was my first time playing the course and my 3 golfing buds and I had a great time !! It was wet but you can't find any fault in the course . The greens are huge and very wavey they were slow due to the moisture but had it been dry they would be very fast ! We all enjoyed the course and the staff was great !

This was our first time playing Ceaderbrook and it was a wonderful experience. The course is in fabulous shape, very challenging with very difficult greens. Course knowledge will make your round more enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

One can;t find better staff of helping golfers get ready to play. Playing conditions were excellent, greens were fantastic and fairways were just great. Great deal for us amateurs.

Course was nice. Greens are tough! Very undulated! So bring your best putting game!

I have played Cedarbrook Country Club three times now and I enjoy it more every time. For the cost I cannot imagine there is a better golf value in North Carolina. The layout is terrific, with many memorable holes, and the course is always in outstanding condition. The greens are very challenging, with lots of undulations, particularly a course built back in 1946. As someone who doesn't hit it a mile, I find the white tees to be the perfect challenge. A must play if you are in the area.

This is my first time playing this course and from the time we walked through the door Zim and his staff treated us like we were members. The course was in very good condition and the greens were in good shape. The greens have a lot of undulations but the pin placements were fair. I highly recommend you play this course if you are in the area.

This course is located just outside Elkin, NC where I grew up. I did not live very far from the course and remember when it was constructed. I try to play every time I go back home and it is always an enjoyable round. The course is challenging but fun. The staff there is first rate. Sunday brunch is not to be missed. I am very pleased that Cedarbrook is on this list and is getting the attention that it so deserves.

Course was in excellent condition with overseeded rye fairways. Greens were outstanding and fast. Staff has done a good job of blowing leaves, but windy day allowed some to blow onto course. Staff is always welcoming and will go out of their way to fit one in if play is busy. Lots of terrain changes so many shots will be played off downhill or sidehill lies. What you see is what you get. Delent amount of room off or tees, but if you really miss, ball will be hard to find.

This is great course to make you a better Golfer. When your round is over you can't wait until the next opportunity to come back. we played after two days of rain, and play was cart path only, we elected to walk and found it be a great walking course. thanks for the opportunity. Drove 2 hours from Raleigh to play. My friend said it was a nice course, with tricky greens. Played on a Sunday. One 4-some ahead of us that let us play through. Finished in under 4 hours. Nice rolling terrain, with a mix of uphill, and downhill approach shots. Water comes into play on about 4 to 5 holes. Friend had a buffet lunch for $9.99, and said it was very good! I think on Sundays the buffet runs till 3pm. Staff was very friendly, and we will play there again! Also, they over-seeded recently,so will be green all winter.

My favorite course around home. Zim and his staff have always taken care of my friends and I. Will continue to go back!

Well worth the money. Best conditions I've played all year.

Played w/ my husband, and we were amazed at how great the course shape was. When I called and asked the condition or if they had lost any fairways to ' winter kill' I was told every thing was green, green, green, b/c they over-seeded in the winter. They were right. Everything was in beautiful shape and very green. Great layout, great shape, and the price was great also. We paid just $21.00 each for after 2pm. Do yourself a favor and play this course, you will not be disappointed.
