First Time at Baywood
The reservation through Golf Now was easy and Baywood was slow when I came in at 815. Since it was slow I was able to go out 10 minutes before my tee time. The course was well maintained and not too busy. I would recommend this course if you wanted to play 18 at a good course that's reasonably priced.
Absolutely horrible.
Do not waste your money, some of the tee boxes have had mats on them for over a year now. Almost every single other tee box doesn’t have grass. The greens are pitiful. The fairways are the only thing in decent shape and they are patchy as well.
As good as Florida courses
As good as the typically $25-$35 courses in south Florida. Not perfect but for the price it was very nice. Great amount of water and bunkers to cause a challenge but open enough to be easy for beginners. Lucky to have been paired with club member Kendrick who plays daily at 8am (he helped me with many parts of my game today, it was a true pleasure to learn from him). Starting is a free for all and I don’t think booking a tee time here means much. That said the 4 guys ahead of us played extremely fast and we never were held back by them excerpt on the first hole where they tee’d off first. We started at 8 and finished 18 at 10:40. That’s even with Ken spending some time to teach me things too. If I’m back in this area next year I’ll be back at 8am.
Course in rough shape
The course layout is interesting. The conditions however are terrible. I’d be willing to pay more if they started fixing the course. Won’t play again anytime soon but would love to return if the conditions improve.
Links esque fun
Great rate for the course conditions and pace of play is fantastic. The layout is beautiful with the right amount of water and forgiveness to make the course fun. Plays like a link's course without the undulations.
Can’t beat it for the price!
I have played nicer courses, but for the value it’s hard to beat. Need to get some water on the course before it get out of hand. Luckily rain is in the way.
