Great course for the money
It is close to where I live. It is a great course for the money. Greens are excellent. Some of the tee boxes are in poor shape. Good layout with some challenging holes.
Muddy
No rain for days but always very muddy at this course. Need a Marshall to speed up play especially if the group in front of you are literally hitting the ball 25-35 yards per shot.and 2 or 3 shots off every tee box. Very very long day. Will not be back.
Conditions have fallen off.
I have always loved the layout of this course. However, many of the tee boxes are quite horrible. There is no turf on most, it is just dirt full of holes. The course itself is extremely muddy, even though we have not had any measurable rain in quite some time. We left really disappointed.
Disappointing
The course definitely has potential. However, the tee sheet was packed and we had to wait on every shot. At one point the groups in front of us combined to make a 5-some and the marshal did not care much. We ended up quitting after 12 holes because we were on pace for a 6 hour round. The tee times should be more spread out.
Raincheck Denied
Assistant Pro refused to give us a raincheck, because we used a raincheck to play. I played 18 holes and paid through the Golf Now app, no problem.
After our round we wanted to use our raincheck for 13 holes, no problem.
After 4 holes the skies opened up and we were soaked. Asst. Pro refused to give us any credit for the 9 holes we didn't play. This is not the first time I have experienced an attitude problem with the individual with the Srixon hat.
If you are going to work in the golf industry, you are going to have to learn to take care of people. Otherwise they will go play somewhere else.
Great course
Friendly staff, and great course conditions. The crew has put in a lot of hard work and its showing
Not bad but needs work
This comes as no surprise, but it's hot out and courses are forced to keep things longer to avoid burnout, so most places get some leeway. It's not a difficult track but there are several holes were you must be precise with your tee shot and be able to work it both ways. If you're on your game, there are plenty of scoring opportunities. That being said, this course needs quite a bit of work. Greens weren't fast (a given this time of year), but were pretty bumpy and putts bounced all over the place. Most of the tee boxes weren't cut and some were in pretty poor shape. There were only two water coolers out on a day where the heat index hit 110. There is absolutely no excuse for that.
If you can get on it for $40 or less, it's worth the drive from the ever-increasing prices in the Raleigh area.
Par 5 closed for reno
Nice greens, would have been nice to know they only had 17 holes open when I booked the reservation.

Course was beautiful. Pace of play was good. Challenging course. Definitely will play again. Staff in Pro Shop friendly and helpful.
Reduce the price for under maintenance
The course itself, excluding the tee boxes was fairly Playable for the most part. Don't know if they over-watered the fairways or they got some bad rain the night before. Course was played fairly good and conditions were solid.......but the story is the horeible Tee Boxes....how the heck you gonna charge full price for 18 holes and the condition of the Tee Boxes are complete trash. You had a golf mat on the first par 3 on the back 9. I shouldn't be trying too Tee off from divot covered/unofficial Tee boxes. It's completely unacceptable. There was no maintenance being done to the Tee Boxes.....you charge high prices but make no efforts to fix them. It was difficult trying to get a proper set up in sand covered Tee Boxes with Divots everywhere. But the fringe around half of the greens need some serious work too. Golf courses need to reduce prices if your gonna lower the experience of play for thr players. It's not acceptable.

Course was in terrible condition. Fairways and greens were worst I’ve seen this course and pace of play was terrible. No marshal on the course to control pace. We had a group of five players playing in front of us that wouldn’t let us pass.
Great improvement
Haven't played here in about a year due to conditions being terrible a year ago. Huge turn around this time, will definitely be going back
