Beautiful Day
The golf course was in great shape considering all the rain this year. We played in less than 4 hours. Everyone from Chuck in the shop, to starter, to the drink girl everyone was terrific. We will differently be back
Solid course
Solid course, unfortunately had taken on a lot of rain prior to me playing it
Always fun, sometimes slow
I play Broadmoor quite a bit. Glad to score a "Hot Time" early in the morning. The course is in good shape with recent over seeding and plenty of rain. The pace of play was ok, near 4 hours for a two-some due to others that have no respect for pace. Be forewarned, Thursday at 10 the ORB's tee off. It's a league, The Old Retired B------. The literal name, not a slight. From 10-2 on Thursday, forget trying to tee off. Good public course with a fun layout. Water on 6 of 9 holes on the front and 4 of 9 on the back. Possible to see a few deer, guaranteed to have some planes fly over. They do have a putting green, chipping area and driving range for warm up/practice.
Broadmoor
Decent course if you get it on the right day. Usually soggy with slow pace of play. More expensive than other local courses.
Challenging for an erratic player
I'm just getting back into golf after decades and my play is very erratic these days. In contrast to other public courses I've played recently, I paid for it in balls lost to the water and OOM. But the course is nice, fairways are in pretty good shape and the greens in very good shape. I'll definitely go back and try again!
Ehhh
Greens running soft and slow but true. Trees on 7 to left are now gone allowing for a more agressive line with less shape. Bachelor party most of them need to be on the range not the course slowed it to a crawl.... They have lost big patches of fairway and knuckleheads still pull across them not caring for cpo signs. Ball marks all over the greens and unfilled divots as usual. Id put the ranger on the course pushing pace of play instead of on 1st tee taking tickets. For the price good but chitty golfers unchecked cause 20+ min a hole...
Worst condition I have seen it in
I have played this course a few times now and I realize why I have not played it more. They are large sections of fairways on a third of the course that are bare ground. Another third is similar just in smaller sections. I am from the surrounding area and understand the weather we have but this is no excuse. Large sections on a free holes appear to be having work done but it doesn’t look like anyone has worked on it in a long time. Just not what this course should be for the price.
Golf at the SWAMP
Nothing like wetland golf...Course is a mess will recent flooding and closure for app week.Course is a mess and will be months before recovering..However the greens were ok...Choose somewhere else every time it rains hard
