Good everyday course
Broadmoor is a good test of golf and fun to play. It is in pretty good shape although some of the fairways are a bit sparse. The greens are good, the bunkers so-so, but this is a good value for the local/traveling golfer. Since it is one of the few flat courses in the mountains, I enjoy playing here and will be back some day soon.
Nice Course
Carts has GPS for yardage. Course has several holes where water comes into play.
Not what I expected
The clubhouse was nice, the people in and around the club were great. The course was not well maintained. No grass in most of the tee boxes, grass in the fairways were thin with many bare spots. It was one of the poorest looking courses I have played this year.
First Time
just moved to the area. Would definitely suggest this course to anyone. My intent to play this course again. Good value for the money.
Love this course
I very much enjoy playing here I shot my best score at broadmoor great course layout will play here many times in the future
Course has possibilities but 5 hours...........?
This course was in good condition considering the weather we have been experiencing lately. In fact we were pleasantly surprised. It is an interesting layout with water on most holes. The greens were good too with undulations both subtle and pronounced. But 5 hours for a round with the whole course being held up by one ignorant 4 ball is not on. No ranger of course to be seen anywhere. And the 4 ball must have taken considerably longer than 5 hours - that was just our time. Luckily it was a warm day so it was relaxing - but absolutely no good for golf as you can keep no rhythm going at that pace. It's a pity that they let such people get away with this as we liked the course. But of course we won't be back until we can be assured they won't let this happen again. Some hopes.
All things considered
Considering the time of year and the weather over the last couple of weeks, the course was in very playable condition - a few "damp" spots, but not to the point where you had to change your lie. I always enjoy this course. Couple challenging holes (like #12) but overall playable for all skill levels.

Overall good outing. Weather started a little windy and cold but warmed up nice.
Greens were a little bumpy but not to bad for early March. Fairway was somewhat wet from Fridays rain.
Should be very nice once all greens up.
Challenging but fun
Wanted to play this course for years and finally got the chance and was not disappointed. Great track for any level of play. Four sets of tee boxes and for this time of year the greens were in great shape and faster than I thought. Will return and look forward to playing again when everything is nice and green. Staff was very nice and helpful. Loved the range finder mounted in the carts.
Greens are rolling great.
The course is in good condition with greens being in great condition. Was able to get out early and beat the rush, was able to play at a steady pace. Enjoyed the day.
Well...I have played worst
I believe many golfers around Asheville have a love hate relationship with Broadmoor. It is one of the few flat tracks in WNC so challenges are minimal with no goofy mountain golf holes; so it feels like traditional golf. Broadmoor is also a short drive for most, but it is also a tad boring and uninspiring, congested and lacking wow factor. Conditions are average to good and so are the greens. Rack rates are a tad high and this is, no exaggeration, the hands down winner for most obnoxious and rude staff in all of WNC. a shared opinion. I'd still say go play it however, b/c there are few affordable public tracks near Asheville with better than average conditions.
A 6/10 facility
This course has is a one-of-a-kind in the Mountains of WNC.
One of my favorite courses and close to home. A lot of water, tight fairways at times, and the greens are always challenging and in great shape. Excellent practice facility for all aspects of the game.
Well maintained links course
Played here on a misty early December day. I was the only person for the first 9 holes. Greens are med. fast but you can nail the pin. Bermuda was dormant but fairways were in good shape. Carts have GPS.
Great value for such a nice course
Great course for the price. GPS is a plus for play.
Will be back to check on the greens
Fun course! Unusually flat for the Asheville area, but one of the few walkable courses as a result. Conditions are probably usually perfect, but the greens had recently been sanded and were shaggier than normal and verrrry slow. What the course lacks in elevation change, it makes up for with hazards right and left -- be sure to pay attention to the hole descriptions on each tee and on the GPS! :-) Lovely clubhouse and a great location for the bar -- but they don't have a proper restaurant, just a snack bar.
And don't worry about the planes going to and from the airport -- they fly overhead so often you don't even notice! :-)
You need to notify if a Nine is closed, and if just aerated!!!
Bought online only to find Back 9 greens under 2 inches of sand; hence it was closed. The Front 9 had been aerated hours before and sent putts off course, due to sinking sand.
We went to a different course!
Slow play
Even though I became frustrated with the slow play of a group in front of me, the course made up for it. The course had very receptive greens and some very wide fairways that made for good play. I would recommend this course for a "bang for your buck" deal.
Generous fairways & greens in great condition will bring me back again. Ignore the planes landing overhead, and you'll enjoy the round.
Generous fairways; great conditioned greens, and good variety of shot making needed to score on this course. Great finishing hole as a risk-reward, par 5, with water front & left guarding this birdie opportunity hole. I'll be back.
