Attitude of clubhouse attendant
Clubhouse attendant came out to hole 12 green and jumped off of his cart while proceeding to yell at my group, as if we were a group of children, about our pace of play. He failed to realize we had taken a 40 minute break in bar/restaraunt for lunch and a beer at the turn. There was nobody on our heels for hole 10 and 11. Group behind had just tee'd off on 12 as we returned to our carts off of the green to receive our tongue lashing. Just to clarify the pace of play and caliber of golf my group was playing, the worst score recorded was a 90 by 1 in our group. We collectively decided it would be our last round golf played at this course. We all play a good deal of golf, so the other area courses will benefit from the rudeness of 1 employee.
The course is beautiful
The course was beautiful but there was a need for a ranger for slow play and then we ran into a group of five and no ranger to be found
Missing Links.
Avoid this place if you can.
Asheville Muni is better and more inviting.
Sir, thank you for your comment, but would you please elaborate on why you did not enjoy your experience? Most of our reviews are 4-5 stars and we want to know how you think we can improve. Thank you!

Doesn't play real long and the greens are great! Great chance to break 80 for a hacker like me
Get there early on Monday
On Monday and one other day, thin it's Thursday, make sure you tee off before 10. Group of retiree's play on these days. A group of 40. Thankfully I was able to go off at my 9:45 time and play pretty well with 2 others from GN. Finished in about 3 1/2 hours.
Staff 8/10
Food 7/10 just a hot dog, but it hit the spot!
Tee Boxes: 6/10 lot of dead and sandy areas on the boxes today.
Fairways: 7/10 very tight today. Tight lies, not much grass, but it's November.
Greens" 9/10 Receptive to high shots, fast and true. Still look great and played really well. Wish I would've putted the ball better!!!!
Over all it was a great day to play and easy to get around. The course can be a "ball eater" so bring an extra sleeve if you spray it around. Rough is definitely ROUGH! This is a pretty flat course for the mountains and easily accessible from Asheville Airport and I-26. Hot deals are great when you can score them. Driving range available, 2 putting greens available.
Decent course
Decent course for the money. Overall I would say the course was in good shape. My only complaint would be it's right in line with the local airport and lots of big jets go right over head.
The course is not really that long, there are alot of lay up shots.
Beautiful day of golf.
Course was in great condition. greens were fast and true.
Good course close to home and office.
Great in town location, good course both fair and tuff holes will challenge your full game.
Great Course / Great Value
The course is in great shape. Fairways and green are excellent. I would definitely recommend.
Broadmoor
The green fees are too high for a average round of golf. Staff are ALWAYS jerks.
Not a great experience
If you have never played this course before and don't have someone along who has, this track would be miserable. Most holes you can't even hit driver since hazards come into play. One par 5 required a 8 iron off the tee before a layup for your third shot. Tee boxes were a mess and there were plenty of wet areas even though there had been no rain. Greens were the best feature. Overall just too quirky a course and add a 5 hour round to it and it leaves you disappointed.
I played.......
I played and left. Never to return. The fairways and greens were in good shape. Overall the course was maintained very well. The problem was the lay out. There were several dramatic doglegs and just weird holes. The GPS was little help on these holes. I would get a distance to the green and major hazards. How about a distance to the dogleg or the end of the 2 piece fairway. It was Monday morning, but the cafe was closed on the turn. We were only able to buy a 20 ounce Coke for $2.75 each. A little steep. Are they competing with the movie theaters? Overall not a bad day, but I will not go back. Not worth the drive and the continuous airplanes overhead were distracting.
Great Course for the money
Only complaint I could come up with was the condition of the bunkers, but I live close to the course and know how wet this summer has been. Course in great condition and the staff was friendly as always.
Fun course
Great course to play , love this place, anybody looking for fun at a great price , go here
SLOOOOW golf
Good golf course with poor pace of play. We were a group of 4 that got stuck behind a threesome on the 4th hole. They had no groups in front of them ever that we could see. They never let us play through. We waited the entire round on them. Our round took us 5.5 hours to play. The ranger came around twice and never asked them to pick up their pace or to let us play through. Very frustrating. Good conditions otherwise and fun course.

Had the first t time great for fast pace course conditions good enjoy the gps for yardage distances to hole
Best condition I've seen
The course was in the best condition I have seen @ Broadmoor. Tee boxes 8/10; Fairways 8/10 Greens 8/10. Misty rainy day that gave way to a sunnier afternoon led to changing green conditions. Just when you start to hit your putts harder to accommodate for the moisture they start drying off and you run them by, I guess that speaks well that greens don't hold water. Made for some frustrating putting though. One complaint or tip for this course, shoot for the middle of the green if you are not a good/above average player. The green side rough is PUNISHING and the fringe/collar of the green is not very big. In the rough around the green you are severely punished and it takes a decent amount of skill to get the ball to land softly or run within a few feet of the pin. Overall the course is a short, flat course with water on a majority of holes. If you drive the ball over 250 yards and play from the whites, you will need to use a 3w or less on a lot of holes. If you like to take risks and cut the corners off doglegs, you have plenty of opportunity at Broadmoor. Scored a hot deal for $22 and enjoyed the round with my son.
Slooooooow
Course is nice. It's a tough course, don't attempt unless you can shoot it arrow-straight most of the time. Pace was preposterously slow and marshals did nothing to help. We waited 15-20mins at each tee box. That's how slow it was.
Mixed Bag
My overall impression is that the course used to be a pretty little track, but that the maintenance budget has been cut and some things are now going to seed.
On the plus side, the golf was relatively inexpensive. The land was relatively flat for a mountainous region, but the course was dotted by lakes and the layout was interesting. Greens were well maintained. The staff, while minimal, was friendly and accommodating. There is a practice facility, tho the grass tees were in really bad shape. Decent carts with minimal GPS.
On the negative side, the fairways were very spotty with many dry, bare or dead spots. Traps minimally maintained. Tees choppy. Cart paths need work. We were behind a foursome with open holes in front of them ... no ranger on the course to help.
I'd rate this an average muni course. We had a decent time, but I wouldn't recommend to a friend and we won't try to play it again.

We are sorry to hear about your experience at Broadmoor. I am looking into the incident and would like to apologize if you were treated rudely by the staff. I have asked our General Manager Hartwell Baker to investigate as well. Please feel free to reach out to him at the course if you would like to discuss this any further. We do appreciate your business and hope you will consider giving Broadmoor another try. -Ryan Saturday, Warrior Golf.
