Course is always in great condition and the natural landscape is beautiful. The employees are friendly and down to earth. Pace of play has always been solid. Nice carts with GPS. Food & bev is very reasonable for the area.

Would recommend this course to anyone in the area, great layout and challenging holes.

For the money, it could use some upgrades. The dog legs were just slight bends. No really scenic holes or challenging par 3s.

Played the white tees which were a bit short. Should consider 9 blue tees and 9 white to get a 6,000 yd course. (I am a senior). Front and back are 2 different set ups. Front had a couple of marsh holes that were scenic. The back was pretty much a big field with 9 holes.

Cart girl was very pleasant as well as the shop and first tee staff.

Picturesque course layout weaving through a natural setting. Challenging track from the blue tees. Easy access just over the bridge from HHI off Bluffton Pkway. Reasonable pricing + Hot Deals are a great bargain there. Welcoming knowledgeable staff.

Enjoyable round! Moved along and gave us enough time to study the holes. Some were tricky but fun. Conditions were great and staff super friendly and helpful!

This course was in good condition overall. I wish the greens were a little bit faster, but they were in good shape. The staff was very friendly, and the pace of play was great.

Fun but challenging course layout around water, marshlands & woods. Good course to include in your annual HHI golf trip rotation. Friendly, hospitable staff all around. Always an enjoyable playing Old South Links.

Old South has a good and fun layout. There are 13 holes that are relatively straightforward, and 5 holes where the marsh/wetlands come into play. The course was in generally good shape. Our concerns were 1.) VERY slow greens. They looked nice and weren't shaggy, but they were very slow - probably the slowest I've played in years. And 2.) Pace of play was very poor - almost 5 hours, and no marshals trying to address the situation. That was disappointing. Overall we enjoyed our round and would play it again, but they really need to make some effort to keep people moving.

Been visiting Hilton Head every year since 1989 and started playing Old South in the mid 90's. While only playing once a year, the greens right now are the best I ever remember them being. They changed the grass type and made the greens a little smaller with a legitimate apron around each green. These current conditions are despite very little rain in the southeast this year. The only complaint is the ever increasing green fees everywhere in the region. I did take advantage of a hot deal.

This is a great course with some easy, medium and really challenging holes. Nice to have GPS on the cart. First time players would have to try again.

Only the greens were SLOW. We couldn’t get the ball to the hole even on #18.

And you get to see various wild life’ turkeys, masked squirrels, gators and birds.

Great pro shop, friendly staff and perfect weather. Couldn't ask for more.

We were greeted by a friendly and accommodating staff that made us feel welcome. We played four courses around HHI this week and this was the best one overall.

Four of us had a good time.
