Ever since it debuted in 2003 and started earning raves for being one of Northwest Florida's premier courses. This semi-private layout is the star amenity of an 800-acre residential development that touches Choctawhatchee Bay. Robert C. Walker, formerly the lead architect of Arnold Palmer's design company, laid out Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club amidst a nature preserve near the south shore of the bay. While you'll feel the breezes as you play this stalwart of Florida's Emerald Coast region, the water views during the round are of the wetlands, streams and manmade lakes that lend beauty and challenge to the game here. Plenty of trees, bulkheads lining the hazards and bright white sand in the predominantly shallow bunkers add extra aesthetic panache when you play at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club. With so much water and trouble all around, you'll need to execute numerous forced carries on your drives and approach shots. A couple of holes feature island-like fairways.
Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club delivers a classic brand of Florida target-style golf, though it's a challenge everyone can enjoy. Moderately skilled players will be relieved that some of the hazards and shot prospects seem more intimidating than they really are. The game at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club comes to a crescendo finish. On the tricky par-4 16th you must avoid the water on the left and the marsh that crosses the fairway. While the redesigned 17th may be a drivable par 4 for long hitters, for most players the primary task is executing a forced-carry tee shot over water that finds the fairway in a spot short of the bunkers that intercede before the green. The finishing hole at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is a reachable ball 5 that hooks around a large lake with the green tucked hard by the hazard. It's the last test of a day of golf filled with strong and intriguing holes.
The club's extensive practice facilities include a golf academy with a canopy cover and a nice clubhouse with a lakefront restaurant that's ideal for winding down after your game. It's no wonder that Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is such a popular place to play in golf-rich Destin.

Awesome Golf Course and Restaurant
Had a great time playing the Regatta Bay Golf Course. Clearly was the best course we played in the Destin Area. Will definitely return when in the area. The course was in pristine condition and fast and smooth greens.
Very Professional
From start to finish I was treated with respect and professionality, and I was a single, which is usually frowned upon with some clubs

Regatta Bay Golf Club
Very welcoming staff from phone call, to proshop, starter and marshall. Nice t boxes and fairways, greens a tad slow which is better for me. Only complaint is they don’t allow walkers. I’d play this course again.

Great Day
My wife and I only played 9 holes but enjoyed every bit of it. Except for that snowman on the 2nd par 5 :). Course in great shape, starter, cart guy and pro shop all very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to playing it again.

Nice course pace of play was terrible
Course was in good condition but looks like they punched in the last 2 weeks and were top dressing that day during the round. Pace of play was terrible! We had a single with 2 very young kids with him that jumped in front of us on the back 9. The gentleman had no idea about course etiquette and was letting his kids drive the cart and swing and putt all over the course. It would take 25-30minutes to play a hole. We called in and mentioned to the Proshop what was going on and they sent a ranger out which did nothing. We saw the ranger again 2 holes later and told him nothing had changed and he again did nothing. At this point there were now 4 groups backed up because of this person and the staff was doing nothing about it. The back 9 took 3 hours to play which ruined our round of golf. I have never seen anything like it
We are aware of the situation you endured last Wednesday and truly apologize. Despite our efforts, we were unable to effectively improve the situation that afternoon and regret that it effected your experience with us.

Beach course
One of the better courses in the panhandle. The prices are ridiculous for the course conditions. Greens are slow for seasoned golfers. Greens are fast in the panhandle. Get ready for a five hour round.

Solid layout nice track
Overall very nice experience. Friendly staff. Driving range and warm up area in nice shape. Greens were a little slow and sandy; conditions I'm not accustomed to and never really got the hang of them. Cost was very competitive if you are a single and joining another group.

Greatest Experience Ever
I had the greatest experience ever getting paired with HOF baseball player. I will not say who it was in honor of his privacy. He was extremely gracious and kind during the round. The course and greens were in great shape. I definitely will be back again to play Regatta Bay!
