Raven Golf Club - Phoenix features a one-of-a-kind round of desert golf. Its fairways are lined with Georgia pine, and its greens have more tiers than one - the kind of golf course that only Gary Panks and David Graham could imagine, and a can't-miss on your next golf trip to Phoenix. Over the ages, the golf club has garnered all sorts of recognition.
The layout features plush, rolling fairways framed by thousands of mature trees, as well as vistas of rugged desert mountains and the Phoenix skyline. The golf course's flexible, strategic design offers a challenge for all players, and the variety it presents will give you the opportunity to use nearly every club in your bag.

Great Layout
I was paired up with three great guys. The course was in very good condition, especially considering we're in transition here in the desert. Fairways were in nice shape, tee boxes as well. The greens were recently aerated but rolled fast and true. Staff was great. This course is oasis in the desert with fairways surrounded by tapp pine trees with several elevation changes and undulating greens. It's a fantastic deal this time of year.
Beautiful Course
I cannot express how much fun it was to play this course. It is challenging,amazinly beautiful, and the people there are awesome... Will definitely play again!!
Oasis in the Desert
DO NOT let recent negative reviews fool you. Lots of people have a bad round and blame it on “course conditions.” Raven was in excellent condition considering the weather that we have had so far this year. Even with the transition, the fairways are well maintained and every shot (save for one) was from a very playable lie (and most of the fairway grass on the fairways is greener than it is brown!). The greens were certainly firm and quick, but they rolled smooth and true (which is what I really care about).
I have played several courses in the valley over the past several weeks and Raven was probably in the best shape out of most of them. If want a reprieve from traditional “desert golf” you will not be disappointed here!
Unique Track
Raven is such a unique track in the valley. Love the tree lined fairways and the sense of being alone on your own course. Value was the best with the Hot Deal. Otherwise it can be a bit pricey.

Course conditions
The course is a great layout but not world around 100 per person. Greens are in horrible shape burned out etc. would be a great golf course if they maintained it. Would be worth it if it was 35 per person.

Our course is currently in the annual transition from winter rye to summer bermuda, a process that has been accelerated this year by the extreme March heat. Great course in horrible condition
Not worth the money as course is in bad condition. Greens are burned out and harder than a table top. NOT WORTH MONEY.

Quality Experience
Anyone visiting Phoenix would benefit from a day at the Raven. Beautifully framed hole layouts, perfect playing conditions, soft white sand and playable bunkers. Some fun short Par 4s on each side that offer risk reward. Unlike other local courses, youu won't spend your day in the desert looking for balls because there is little desert and fairways funnel to middle, making driving fun.

Drunken Bachelor party ruined our round
On our last day in town we decided to play a morning round at The Raven before we headed to the airport.
The reviews were spot on, it's an amazing course. Greens rolled true and fast with the fairways plush and undulating. The scenery was next level as the course is in the valley set between to mountain ranges, it's post card worthy.
Unfortunately for us what ruined our round was a bachelor group of 12 teeing off before us. Im all for having a great time but they should have gone to Top Golf because none of them were good golfers. Everyone has a blow up hole now and again but we watched all of them blow up every hole. Us having to wait on every shot.Took over 4hrs to finish the 15th, running 30 minutes behind according to the GPS time on our cart. We had to quit the round to have time to shower and make our flight home.
Im definitely planning on playing The Raven again because the course was that good to get the full experience.

Dreadfully slow
Course is fun. Conditions were solid. But pace of play was miserable with no drive to improve it.
