Pace of Play was Hurrendous
After 5 hours, I was only through 16 holes, so I had to leave. I believe the marshals can be more diligent about who is causing the slow pace of play and speeding them up.
Greens
For the amount of undulation and wind, the green complexes need to be significantly slower. Take note from the English links courses.
Played in the rain following two days of heavy rain. Course was not at all soggy. Greens were in excellent shape and rolled true. Love the shots available to you around the green complexes and the ability to play different styles of shots into the greens from the fairways. A real nice walking course.
Spectacular Day
70 degree Thursday round that we finished in 4 hours and 1 minute. Course was pretty empty, so there was no waiting on any tee. Tee boxes were a little hard, but they're saving water. Fairways and greens were excellent. Not straight putts. Stayed away from the ridicules bunkers, but they were fun to look at.
Very enjoyable. Wind was even down.
Pricey
Greens are very fast and undulating.
Layout is very good.
Practice putting green was very slow.
Price for non residents was quite high for weekday walking rate.
Will be back. But only once in a while.
1 hour commute for me.
There are many other good courses available that don't include a commute.
Fairways boring and like hitting off concrete
Played the North course the end of February following days of rain. The fairway grass was either cut less than a half inch long or because of the condition of the soil, could not grow any longer. It was like hitting off concrete. Flat terrain and the majority of holes just straight shots to the green. No landscaping bordering fairways. They were devoid of trees and any bushes, plants or other greens.
