Relative Fair Value
The staff was outstanding, very kind and accommodating. The clubhouse amenities were very good. The course layout was in average conditions, sand traps were full of rocks, scenery of back yards aligns the course throughout' etc… So, relatively speaking I thought it was slightly over priced, however the service provided by the course personnel made it fair priced
Baked Out!
Course was more dirt than grass. Greens were sandy. Other courses in the area were much nicer at this period of time. Nothing was mentioned about the sandy greens before booking.
We won’t be back
I don’t have anything good to say. $79 was waaay too much. We’ve played here many times before and course was always in good shape, friendly staff and good service, etc. We had sanded greens , no one to greet or help at the bag drop, dried out or dirt fairways and a gps system that made us walk even farther in 108 degree heat. Along with the carts that aren’t maintained, even the cart paths were also falling apart. This course is on a path to end up like The Badlands (closed).
I hate to give this poor review but we were so disappointed that we won’t be back.
Summer time
The fairways and greens have taken a downturn from a few weeks back. Fortunately an employee with knowledge of the greens keeping gave us the update as to why the grass was distressed.
The cart paths on the back nine are rough to go thru. Some concrete is broken up and raised off the path. The bathrooms on the back nine are in such disrepair, the men’s bathroom has been closed for over two years and now the women’s bathroom is declining.
It’s a nice course overall, for the price there are much better courses with working bathrooms.
Excellent Coutse & Round of Golf
The course was in very good to excellent shape. Yes there are a few dry spots here and there but compared to some of the courses. I played back home in Anaheim the course was in excellent condition. If you land in a dry spot, move it to a nice green spot, most of us aren’t professional golfers.
The greens were great and rolled pretty true from what you see, I was in four traps, and all were very playable, not thick sand, but decent enough with the exception of one that was very thin, sand or dirt wise.
The staff everywhere on the course was super friendly and super helpful. We just found out. I would definitely play again either alone or with others.
Subpar at Best
Conditions were rough. GPS never turned on and we tried calling the pro shop multiple times and no one ever answered except their answering g service. Pace of play was great because we were first out.
Caught the mowers on the back and all tee box markers were removed for pre mowing. On a Friday!!!!! Seems like this could be done on a less busier day. Either way I would steer clear better courses out there.
Great conditions
Surprisingly good fairways and greens for 100 plus heat.! Tough course if you miss the fairways.
Legacy GC
Legacy has been consistently fun to play over the last few months. The course is in great condition. This last time there was no cart service. Also, it would be nice to have a few ball washing stations through the course.
Great Value
Great value for golf in the Las Vegas area. I have played courses that cost much more but fell short on the experience. The Legacy was in very good condition (could use some more water). The greens were in good condition but were inconsistent when it came to speed.. Pace of play, even with occasional waits was excellent. We finished in 4 hours. Great practice area for chipping and putting. Driving range is basically flat, making it hard to gauge distance since you cannot see where the ball lands. Course was well designed to use every club in your bag, including leaving the big dog in the bag on a couple of par 4s. Some fairways were surprisingly generous (like 18), while others were tight with a premium placed on accuracy. The bunkers seriously need sand. The hard soil underneath made sand shots like hitting off concrete. While it says walking is allowed, the distance between holes can be quite lengthy sometimes. A cart is recommended. This was my first time here, but it has made my Top 10 Best Value list for Las Vegas golf. Definitely plan to return.
Very tough hole locations..
A very good tough course with very tough whole locations. The scenery was great, and the course was well kept. Do not attempt to walk the course, you will need a golf cart as is very long. Good value for the money, hopefully there will be some more good deals coming.
Rough conditions and unreasonable policies
Very strict on cart usage. Cannot move them until tee time, they will do everything they can to pair you up and force sharing of cart. Greens have improved from what they a couple of years ago, but everything else a bit rough.
A challenging course
Course knowledge is an advantage on this course. While it plays fair, the margin of area can be costly. I believe the back nine to be the more challenging.
Great course!
The golf course was in great shape! Pace of play was good. Would definitely go back & play again.
