Barony at Port Royal Golf Club

Overall the course was in good shape. Pace of play was a little slower than I would have liked. Forgiving wide fairways. Water and fairway bunkers reward accuracy on several holes. The greens are for sure some of the smallest and most difficult I’ve played. If your approach shot is not a very high and soft shot, best to try and land short and take advantage of the release onto the green. Had several that would stick the front of green and roll all the way across. But will definitely play here again next time I am in town.

Barony is and always has been a great experience. Great staff. Fairways and greens are in very good condition considering the extreme heat this past few months. Highly recommend.

Been playing Barony Course for years now and always have had a great experience. Staff is always friendly. Course was in very good condition considering the heat we've had over the past few months. Fairways and greens were in good condition along with a great layout. I'll be back soon and highly recommend this course.

The greens were aerated not mowed. Patches of grass in the greens..

As a mid-level (price wise) course in HHI, this was a great value. A few slight issues with pace of play which was frustrating, compared to other HHI courses that are close to double the price, I would easily play here for a great value.

Course overall was in good condition. A bit easy and short. May consider playing on longer tees if we return.

Golf staff was extremely friendly and helpful, however the bartender in the clubhouse was extremely rude and condescending when we simply asked for a water after a hot day. It kind of put a damper on our experience. We planned on going to the pro shop to buy some things but decided we just wanted to leave.

Played the first time think I would play blue instead of white tee it was still a little short. No driver not needed. Had a few water location come up not knowing they were there. Overall very nice. Pace of play was just fine.

The course condition was a little rough in spots.

I hit a drive just off the fairway on the 17th hole. I saw my ball sitting in leaves. I went to hit it and drooped about 3 feet into a black stinky mess. I was in past my knees. I finally was able to get out, but was a smelly mess. I found out this is fairly common in the area and is called Pluff. I wish signage or some kind of warning would have been made.

Best course we have played on island this time. Got teatime via Golf now so cost was down otherwise it is too pricey for us.

Course was in good condition, the only negative is the tee boxes needed mowing and leveling. The greens rolled true but were just a bit slow . All staff were extremely friendly.

Played this course as a threesome on a Saturday and it was great. We were not held up or pushed. The course was in very good shape even though it has been very dry. We will play here again.
