Oyster Reef Golf Course

Solid course. Other than one incredible view of the water on a par 3 nothing spectacular, but fun to play. In solid shape and the staff were very friendly.

I booked via GolfNow and thought the price of $85 was reasonable for a morning weekday round. Greens were consistent and generally in good shape. Course conditions overall were good. Bunkers weee well maintained, firm but not thin and very fair. Not a high degree of difficulty from the white tees, which made for an enjoyable vacation round. Starter was on top of things. Grass range, good practice green and friendly staff. Worth playing for sure.

Another Heritage overpriced/significant under delivery for in season play. The pace of play was mostly 3 groups waiting on every hole. The course was dry and firm, but somehow carts were relegated to the 90 degree rule. Half the greens were more wet dirt than grass. For a $200 price tag, a stop that will easily be bypassed in the future.

As a female golfer I was very disappointed that a course as nice as Oyster Reef didn’t do a better job for the ladies. There should be forward tees on every hole. Sharing with mens Senior tees is lazy on the part of the course. . With all the money spent on a nice restaurant, beautiful practice facilities, I think you could consider ladies forward tees.

A very pleasant experience. Course well maintained even for early spring. Staff very nice. A little slow but there on a nice and busy day so that was expected. Will return next trip to HH.

Absolutely a must play course. Beautiful scenery all over. #6 is a fantastic view. Ball placement is a must with fairway bunkers and green side bunkers guarding the greens. Highly recommended.

The fairways were thin, the tee boxes were sparse, most of the greens were dead, the balls at the range were literally junk, and the starter was anxiety riddled. After a 2.5 hour front nine, waiting on every single shot, we decided to quit and go play a different course and weren't able to get any refund for the back 9. There are so many good options near there, there is no reason to waste your time at Oyster Reef. It was quite pricey for me and my son...around $300. Of the 8 courses we played in Hilton Head, this was by far the worst experience.

Excellent pace of play, course was full, but never waited on the group in front and never held up the group behind us. Very nice course conditions

My friends and I played the course in February. The greens had been overseeded, so their grass was green and they were in excellent condition. The fairways had not been overseeded, so the fairway grass was dormant and brown. That was the only reason I did not give the course 5 stars for course conditions. I think you need to overseed and have green fairways to earn that. But, overall, I still gave the course 5 stars. Well worth playing.

First time playing Oyster Reef and it did not disappoint. Staff was fantastic, went into great detail about course. Bag drop and starters were very engaging and did a great job. I was a single with a rider and was paired with a 3. I was a little disappointed that I was charged nearly $40 for a rider fee. I thought that was a little over the top/ The course itself was in great shape. Greens rolled very nicely and fairways were green with plenty of grass.
