Raven at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Really nice course, easy to get to, great layout, things to improve:

- signage to range

- expand the range (plenty of room but it was roped off

- no water (drinking water) on the course, why??

- starter was grumpy (never looked you in the eye, didn’t use please, just overall grumpy)

Will definitely come back. I like the course better than the other two (Indian Bayou, Emerald Bay) I played.

The layout, conditions, and overall experience were excellent from start to finish. The only reason I can’t give it a full 5 stars is that the greens had just been plugged and sanded which, to the course’s credit, they disclosed upfront at booking. That transparency is appreciated, but it does make it hard to justify paying full price when the greens aren’t rolling at their best. Once they’ve recovered, this would easily be a flawless round. Will definitely be back when the greens are back in top form. Make sure you ask about the difference between 16A and 16B. That was not very clear and finding the tee box took a minute.

Played here after aeration and it was still pristine layout is fun and playable for 15+ handicap without death by golf. Views are amazing on this course!

Have wanted to play the raven for years when coming go Destin. Had played the sandestin links before but no other experience at the resort courses. Price was $109 hotdeal which seemed reasonable. The design is great. Very challenging with awesome water features and well-placed bunkers. Clubhouse was a little less than expected given Kelly and Regattas clubhouses. Halfway house was nice touch. Only letdown was course conditions for the price. Greens were pretty slow and some tee boxes were in poor shape from the whites. Would return but would not pay more than I did.

Great course, layout, condition, but cram too many people sometimes.

Awesome course, friendly, supportive staff. Excellent layout with challenging but fair holes; risk/reward, lots of water, variety of doglegs, but with wide fairways and choices. Have played here several times over the years and always enjoy. Downside this spring 2026, green are in horrible condition: bumpy, weedy, globs of poia or some other invasive grass. And staff needs to enforce divot repair and raked bunkers. Played in the afternoon and all bunkers shots required pre-raking, and any putt outside of 3-4 feet bounced its way to the hole. Great track; fix the greens, enforce course repair etiquette.

Courteous staff. Very nice challenging course. Lots of doglegs. Tees, fairways greens all very good condition. I’ll play it again.

Haven’t played here in a few years and this course needs help quickly. Range grass is garbage. Greens have alot of weeds/poa in them. GPS kept saying we were 15 minutes behind pace and we might have to skip a hole as we waited 5 minutes on the tee box for the group in front of us.

Might be worth $50 a round not the $125-135 they are charging.

Traveling across the country for beautiful golf and a good time with my dad. Only to pay hundreds of dollars to be hot, hungry and dehydrated. We were not informed at the start of our 3pm tee time that EVERYTHING off the course would be closed before we hit the turn. There was no beverage cart. So for 18 holes we had only the drinks we started the round with. If we had been told this would be the case, we wouldve been happy to stock up before we hit the course. Instead we were told we could get things on holes 10 and 13. Which was not the case. For such an expensive course it felt bottom of the barrel experience wise.

Beautiful greens and fairway, that are hard to enjoy when you're thirsty and hungry. Would've loved to give a 5 star considering the birdies I hit. But overall we left disappointed, starving and out $300.

1st time playing the Raven and could not have been more pleased. Fairways and greens were in great shape, pace of play was acceptable with little delays. Played another course yesterday at the same rate and this was head and shoulders above the other. Definitely worth the price

Personally I would love it if a golf course let you know ahead of time that their greens would be covered in Fertilizer. Really affected putting but we lived with it. Still a great place to play but you better like water and have the ability to avoid it.

Great layout. One of my favorites in the area. Early tee time but range not open under 8am. Also greens covered in sand. Not sure what the reasoning is but they rolled ok. Certainly expected better though for the price. May be a better value at twilight rate. We had a great time and played on four hours.

The course is very fair and playable. The greens were just ok.

In general a good course. But getting a bit beat up. In particular, cart paths are a mess. Need a lot of work, repait and repaving. Men's room in the pro shop was mostly out of service. This is not a cheap muni course... should be kept up to date and we'll maintained.!

Tee makers had not been moved for t least a week. We hit almost all of our tee shots outside the teeing area. Bunkers were horrible. They had not been groomed for several days. I played both the Links and the Raven in past few days and both were the same.
