Aguila Golf Course
About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Temp green on #1, and temp tee box on #6 (forces everyone to hit from red teebox) - So kind of a bummer right now, but it is cool they are making effort to make the place better! Other than that great golf here right now.
Best Muni in Town
For conditions and play-ability, this the best city course in town. Beautiful mountain backdrops, very walkable, well-maintained fairways, tees and greens. Friendly staff, grass tee driving range and most affordable buckets in town. This course is very busy and caters to its community w city tournaments, First Tee, high school state tournaments and Drive,Chip and Putt competitions.
Silver tees are most popular, but I suggest a combination card to shorten 4, 9, 12 and 18 to the gold tees, as those are currently 420-430 yds.
Added bonus: a par 3 9-hole course that accepts walk-ups and free replays. Where you going to find that, these days?
Great golf course
Unfortunately we got placed behind the wrong group 😆 so the pace of play was not good we waited on every hole.
The more important part, the course was in great shape. Nice thick fairways and aprons. The greens were receptive to approach shots. They were also very fast and rolled well. The layout of the course was interesting and a lot of fun to play. I will be going back.
Monday Round
One of the best public Phoenix courses! I drove from Anthem to get there…was not disappointed! Huge practice areas and the course was beautiful! Reminded me of a south side version of McDowell Mountain Golf Club. Will be playing there again soon!
Only issue I had is I pay for a cart and was ask to ride with someone else who I don't know because was told a shortage of carts. It was awkward because me and the other person had nothing in common other then golf. I enjoy riding by myself. Was told by the starter if I pay another cart fee can have my own cart. Sounds ridiculous to me.
Exvellent course!
This is one of the best public courses in phoenix! I highly recommend it! The condition is excellent and staff is wonderful!
Good track, good value
I thought the course was in decent conditiion, given the heat. Great staff, lots of water and ice available. Need coolers on the carts, at least for the summer.
Aguila summer golf
Typically Aguila - some fairway spotty patches, greens were really good
Luigi and Yoshi
Fast fair way, fast greens. No cooler on cart. Took bags of ice.
Long round. Two 3's and two 5's on front and back 9.
Mostly straight. Two holes going left. Hard day for slicers.
