About
Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

A solid value
Course is one of the better kept in the area. They redid their greens about a year ago and they have come in nicely. Putts were rolling true and consistent. We played in just over 4.5 hours which wasn't bad for a Sunday. I only saw the marshall once and he just drove by, not saying anything. Staff were great as always.
The Beat Course in St. Johns
This is absolutely the best course that we have played since moving to Northeat Florida. Great layout, excellent condition, and great rates. Friendly staff. You can complete your round with some superb food and drinks in the pub. Highly recommend!
The course conditions are immaculate.
From the tee boxes, greens, fairways, even the rough, everything is very well manicured. Also, the staff is extremely accommodating.
First time playing sincr the redo. The course was in excellent condition
Only negative was pace of play. Foursome in front of us were realky slow. I would of liked to see a ranger out there keeping things moving
Nice track
We lucked upon this course trying to find a place to play before we went to Amelia Island. It's now in our rotation for sure.

Great course
The course was in great shape but it was cart path only. That made it a bit tougher and slower. Overall, love the layout and the greens were really nice.
Outstanding course.
Can't say enough great things from this course and its facility. From the friendly, quick, professional cart staff, to the same in the pri shop.
Starters get you going with a smile and a thank you. Pace of play always perfect. Course, recently having extensive work, is in fantastic shape. Fair, challenging layout. Great par 3s.
The "grill" bar very friendly and accommodating. Have not order food, but most sitting at the bar do. Great bar tender service. Big restaurant with seemingly a very active membership.

No Cart Areas
I saw several carts including my own. That went I guess. Too close towards the green and the cart deactivated and said I had to back out and go in reverse, etc .
It doesn't appear to be mocked. It seems to be all censored related unless I miss them but I missed a lot then. But again I saw several people in several carts gets get blocked and not because they were abusing cuz I don't think they knew where the boundaries were.
Long story short, I think there should be some visible markers you could see besides it's too late. Once you hit it it just shuts your car down and you got to reverse it and wait and back up. Anyway. Other than that I love the course. The greens were a little firm. I like them slick the way they used to be. But Club looks great. My buddy bill is still a ranger there who's been here since to start and good luck to the management place. Looks good
The course and staff were great today
Tee to green a great experience! Great layout, well groomed and pleasant staff. Relaxing round for a couple of Red Sox fans.
