About

Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Enjoyable Round of Golf

We enjoyed our round very much and found the course in great shape. Unfortunately Golf Now didn’t tell us the range and practice putting green were closed so we were unable to warm up.

Great Condition

Course really played well including pace of play this time (morning shower must have caused some cancellations) back nine seems to always play longer and more windy. Definitely will be playing again within a couple weeks.

WINDY HARBOR IS A BEAST IN THE WIND

As always Ms. Barbara and her staff do a great job with the course.

If you played this past weekend it held true to the name of Windy Harbor and took pictures of at least 3 alligators.

Always a good time with family and friends.

Best Kept Secret in Jacksonville Golf

It is worth paying the extra $20 for the MWR card. This is a course that is an AMAZING value on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The back is a little longer, and more challenging than the front. You are guaranteed to use every shot you have in your bag.
