Keith Hills Golf Club - Black Course

Course was in excellent pre-season shape! Greens were fantastic, simply a beautiful group of courses.

Well maintained and love the layout however every single time I play here it’s a 5+ hour round of golf.

Three hours to play the front nine. Got to the 10th hole, not only was the group in front of us waiting, but another group was waiting. Got a rain check. Will never play on the weekend again. I’ve played Keith Hills since 1982. I know golf has grown in popularity but they need management, rangers, and starters!

Picked this place since my Dad hosted tournaments decades ago here. Was cool for that reason alone along with it being a nice course. Enjoyed my experience.

I always enjoy playing this course. It was in decent shape for very early season. It was great for a quick outing for reasonable price. Definitely recommend

I typically love the course but this time was underwhelming since it was still extremely wet. Probably my fault since we had a lot of rain on Thursday of the previous week. I thought waiting til Sunday would be enough time to dry out but I was wrong. I will have to remember that the course doesn't dry out well for the next time I play. I still love the course!

The course has 27 holes. Typically I have only got to play “Black to Orange”, but finally got the chance to play the “White” course. Must say the white course definitely had more shots you could go after opposed to the black and orange. All 27 holes course had been in phenomenal shape. Highly recommend.

I am a M-F member and seldom play on weekends. Course was active as there was an outing on two nines with only 9 holes open. Still, got around in two hours (cart path only due to recent rain).

This was my go-to course in 2020-21, but then I played a nearby course. I moved in 2025, so Keith Hills is now my closest course. I like this course and recommend it to others. If you are a golfer that cannot play without also having a few beers, know that this is alcohol free and does not sell beer. I may or may not have brought my own.

Keith Hills is a wonderful couse with excellent range, chipping and putting greens.

I understand that holidays are packed and be slow.. However, no excuse for not having a ranger to keep pace of play. There was a family walking with kids running everywhere. They held up play for everyone. We were watching the group in front of us tee off on every hole. A foursome walking behind us watched us tee off every hole. It was a five hour round. The GPS was off by as much as 20 yards and kept giving notice of their memberships. Who wants to join a course where pace of play is an afterthought?

Come play this eastern NC gym, best shape it’s been in over the last 5 years. Great track!

I always enjoy playing two of the three 9 home courses

Course was in great shape. Greens rolled great. Met up with 3 guys I’d never met before. My only complaint as a senior player, many holes were cart path only, which wasn’t necessary as the course was very dry.

First time on the course. Played the White and Orange courses. Wide open fairways and puttable greens

Nice course, wide open fairways and acceptable greens. Will play this course again.
