Winter Park Pines Golf Club
About
Winter Park Pines Golf Club has offered one of the most affordable rounds in the greater Orlando area since first opening in 1968. The course has a traditional design that is ideal for beginners though it's also great if you're looking for a quick, casual round. The par-70 golf course may seem odd with a par-34 front nine and a par-36 back nine, but the layout manages to blend together seamlessly. The golf course has short par 4s and par 3s of varying lengths. There is one par 5 that measures 462 yards. The first half of the course is especially scenic with mature trees framing most of the holes. In addition to the golf course, Winter Park Pines also has a practice facility available. It features a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens with a bunker.

GolfNow value in question
The weather was no one's fault, but the course allowed walking only due to wet conditions. Because I had paid with GolfNow they informed me they could not refund me and charge me the lower 18 hole fee for walking. How do I get GolfNow to refund me for the carts which I paid for but was not able to use?
Going downhill
I've played here hundreds of times and it used to be decently priced for what it is, which is a tight short course. I've never seen so many weeds there, it was always crowded but they knew how to grow grass, actually too much grass as it's not a place you're going to get any roll, it's still that with weeds starting to take over. Speaking of taking over, kids. Kids everywhere, unsupervised, just skipping all over, starting on the back nine instead of the front etc.
Greens need help
Greens are not in good condition, tighter fairways than most courses in Florida so I wouldn’t underestimate it by the length.
Slow
They allow walkers to walk all 18. Pace of play is extremely slow and mostly amateurs. keep your head on a swivel, we had balls landing all around us from different holes.
WP18
N ice layout. Front 9 short and narrow par 34. Back nine longer with some water hazards par 36. Fairways are mostly good conditions, tee boxes need some work. Greens are recovering thanks to some maintenance More challenging than the yardage would indicate. Staff friendly. Overall a good course.
Good smaller course
Good smaller course, but need more work on the greens.
Great Course
This is a great course to play in Winter Park. A challenging 18 holes but great to play. The greens on a couple of holes are being repaired but otherwise the greens are decent. Highly recommend.
Lots of repair work being done
Several greens were terrible because they were putting down new grass squares. The course was fine, but the greens are not.
Greens are Atrocious
Love this course very simple to play and fun. Only thing was I purchased the round and NO where did it say about aerated greens. Green conditions were so bad. They need to def notify when the course is like that.
Greens recovering but otherwise in good shape.
This course's greens are recovering from the winter or whatever problem that caused them to develop bare spots. If perfect greens are what you demand, then don't play here at the moment. Other than the greens the fairways are in excellent shape as is the rough and surrounding trees all of which are manicured. The staff here is excellent, and the clubhouse is much better than average.
Course Conditions
Putting greens were in horrible shape compared to previous visits. Price was way too expensive for course conditions. Seems overall course has been lacking maintenance.
Dry
Like most courses in Florida right now this plaice is dryy. If I’m going to play a dry course I at least want my greens playable. Few holes putts are bouncing like a basketball. I don’t know if I’d play here again besides for a confidence booster. 5000 yard course from the white. Will play tips if I come back
Golfer Friendly Course
The best part about this facility are its staff. Everyone is greeted with a smile and cheerful joke/jest in the Pro Shop before your round. I enjoyed my round with the exception of the condition of the greens.
Needs some work
Course used to be in good shape but the greens look like they haven’t been tended to in a very long time. Not a good price to pay to have to put over land minds
Might be worst course ever
I would give zero stars if I could. I do not know what has happened to this course. I’ve played it a lot in past. There is only one green that is not damaged. All other greens are unplayable. I have never seen anything like it. If airways are in fair condition the tee boxes are chopped up. I would not play this course for free it is that bad. Really sad to see this happen. The city of winter park should close it down and start all over.
