Lake Chesdin Golf Club

Really nice layout on rolling hills but never too extreme. Good mix of par 3 lengths from short to long. Felt challenging but fair. Greens a little slow from recent heavy rain but looked really nice and rolled well. Tees, fairways, and rough pretty much all in great shape.

Greens (8/10) - medium fast and rolls well.

Fairways (8/10) - green grass but pretty firm underneath due to lack of water.

Rough (8/10) generally healthy Bermuda, ball might sit on top[ or sink slightly. Some areas roped off for new sod.

Bunkers (5/10) - some are full of clay, others sandy with stones, some hold water. These are very much below standard.

Tee boxes (8/10) - green grass but some very firm spots because of lack of moisture.

Hospitality (4/10)- Typical Tim being Tim at the desk. Don't expect welcoming greeting along with any gentle apologies for inconveniences due to overwhelmed staff trying to turn carts around or any pleasantries. He's the only one that makes me feel like I don't belong there.

Course was great, some ball marks that needed addressing other than that very well kept. Tee boxes were nice. Grass was cut well. It rained hard the day before and in most places on the course you would have know that. Will be back to Chesdin

Found this gem while travelling south with some time to kill. Great layout and in really good shape. Beautiful course cut into the woods. Nice target golf layout with greens that roll true, even if they do get a bit of wear from the amount of play.

Absolutely would play this place on the regular if I lived nearby.

Greens were both slow and had sand recently put on them. Many places on the golf course need mowing.

The course was busy but play was very smooth. We started off on the 10th hole as others started off the front. The fairways and greens were well cared for and we only had to wait momentarily on one green as they hydrated it in the middle of the day. All water stations were full of cool water!

Every time I play here I'm surprised at how good conditions and pace of play is rarely a problem. The rate is the same as other courses in the area but the course is both better and in better shape in my opinion. Carts are in great shape, cold water every few holes or stocked in the cart already, It's a little further out but it's well worth an extra 10-15 minutes to get there. 5/5

The course needs water bad. Greens are getting water but that’s about it. I know we haven’t had rain but you can still rotate the water you have and keep the course from totally drying up.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was cartpath only because we had rain for four straight days, but the greens were in excellent condition.

I love the course and the way it makes you think around the course. Tim White is a great course pro!

You are very difficult to communicate with. If it doesn't fit within your pre-set parameters, it is impossible to provide feedback. I cancelled a reservation for today (May 11th) and was denied a refund due to the 24 hour limitation. I missed it by a few hours. In trying to make my case, nothing worked. It has rained all day with temps in the 50's. Have not spoken with the golf course, but I am sure that no one is on the course!

I was merely trying to modify the time. The reason for a Thursday reservation. Because I was unable to communicate with you (email rejected!), I cancelled it as well.

GolfNow is a waste of time. I will deal directly with the golf course.

Good time playing this course, greens were great but fairways and other pieces of the course seemed to get neglected. Once this course renovates its fairways it’ll be great spot

What a pleasure it was to play Lake Chesdin. Course was in good shape; Greens were great, fairways were in good shape and they are clearly focused on fixing damaged areas.

Course was fantastic just the right amount of challenge and openness for a quality round of golf. Honestly it’s probably the best value in a 20+mile radius and it has moved up high to add into my rotation.

I highly suggest you get out there and check out the elevation, water challenges, and greens on this course.
