Dunscar Golf Club

Played there yesterday (15/9/27). Has loads of rain in the morning so the course was a little wet in places. Great course with some challenging holes. The 16th is a great little par 3.

We played on a Monday and it was like millionaire's golf the course was very quiet.

Greens were true and the fairways were also in top condition.

If your playing here for the 1st time I would suggest speaking with the club pro as there's a few out of bounds markers that we weren't sure as to which hole/holes they were for.

Other than that a brilliant course and would highly recommend it.

Lovely run, little worn in places but could be due to the weather. Was the same when I played a month or so ago, but not had a lot of rain. Pro shop hours don’t match online and they do not answer the phone or emails. (Tried to confirm booking due to no email confirmation & see if buggies were available).

Great course, great staff, not so happy with the price variations within the same day ie £22.50,.£25.00, £35.00, £40.00

The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the club shop was closed..(we teed off at 1pm)

As for the course,I was massively impressed, the rough was tough, the fairways where generous and in great condition.the greens where fantastic and true.This is NOT a criticism... the green's where slowish,which you should take into account when playing them.

And to finish off with there's some really great holes including the par 3s..

Lot of work undertaken on the course during the winter, drainage, planting etc

Greens are improving now the weather has change for the better

Some really nice holes and also some difficult ones

Course was good but 15 out 18 were winter greens, all the greens had sand laid on them!

Very challenging course with some amazing views, course was very wet due to poor weather and on temp greens but still played well,

Quite hilly so would not suit people with mobility issues unless they hire a buggy.

Will definitely play again in summer when it's dryer.

Winter greens just cut into fairways no way to put just chip one hole closed and 18th no directions to the temp tee box so we played off the original and the group behind not very happy. Great course in summer but shocking in winter and nothing on the website to say every hole on winter greens. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 won’t play again this year oh and no reply from the pro shop

1st time playing the course and as a group of high handicappers we really enjoyed it. The fairways were well kept, some of the greens were a bit sodden but we did go just after heavy rain so can't be helped. Some of the fairways were a bit tight to other fairways but didn't have any problems. Might be different if it was nicer weather. All being said we will definitely be going again.

Fantastic round up at Dunscar. Live local to the area and new to golf, so had never played here before. There was really welcoming effort from the outset. Other golfers made you feel at ease. Even committee members at the end had a conscious effort to ask how you were and did you enjoy it. The first 2 holes give you a nice opening challenge and then the course just opens up into a fantastic course and beautiful views!
