Nice course, but expensive
Don’t get me wrong this is a nice course with some challenging holes on a good layout. However, given it’s the start of the season it was absolutely peppered with divot marks on all the fairway. I know they are heavily investing in the site as a golfing centre, and I probably will play there again, but the Green fees are pretty steep for the condition of the course and there are other courses close by with much more reasonable rates.
Rough areas outside the fairways are really rough, tall grass so rarely playable shots if you’re not on the fairway. Work man’s barriers blown over and holes everywhere open.
Came off after 9 holes not worth £30 a round
Well turned out course.
Great facilities. Course is in great condition for this time of year, driving range has top tracer for practice or warm up and the bar restaurant on site it excellent
Don’t waste your money
Very disappointed. Was told prior to playing that the greens had holes and sand on which is fine. Failed to mention 3 holes closed, 75% of tee boxes moved significantly closer and building work all over the course. Feel as though we have been scammed and the 50% off our next play just isn’t good enough. Spoke to other golfers on the same day and none of them got told about it either. Had we been told we could have played elsewhere. In the courses current conditions it needed closing fully until all issues are fixed. Even the playable holes are boggy and have divets everywhere
Building site throughout the course
Arrived for our tee time and was told the greens have been aerated, not a problem… We wasn’t told about the front 9 that had all been dug up with diggers still there. Temporary fencing along the course directing us around 3 closed holes. Most tee boxes closed and positioned half way down the remaining fairways. The back 9 a bit better. No closed holes however fairway condition very bad with scattered divots on all the holes. Players clearly have given up looking after the course after seeing the state of the front 9.
It seems money has been spent improving the clubhouse and restaurant but the course itself has suffered. It wasn’t an enjoyable round of golf. Felt deceived that the only course issues mentioned before teeing off and paying £30 was a bit on sand on the greens.. not closed holes and muddy disruption throughout the course.
Hi a13x00,
Thanks for playing Golf with us.
I understand your frustration about the course setup but don't agree you weren't informed before your round. You were informed before you booked.
You booked through either Golf Now or our website and the following message is displayed clearly with the green fees,
"Between 1st November and 31st March holes 3, 5 and 6 "MAY" be closed dependant on ground conditions. We will not always know until the day of play if one or all of those holes will be closed. Buggies will always be available on the front 9 holes but may be restricted to paths. Buggies will be allowed on the back 9 holes where possible but ground conditions at the time will dictate whether it is possible. We will have some winter tees in play primarily on par 3 holes. Holes 4,7, 9 and 11 will likely be played from forward tee positions. Fairway mats are NOT enforced."
We have had United Utilities working across the course which is why we have had to close some holes and put some forward tees in play.
We do not enforce fairway mats in winter so we do get a lot of divots. We remedy that with a divoting party in Spring.

Regent park
Had an amazing time playing today, course was to a very high standard and the staff was great to speak to had a look in the shop also and everything was to a great price and the driving range looks fantastic
Good course
Good layout some nice holes. Really slow play. Enjoyed it overall especially because my driver was behaving. Shot 86.
Good Value, Great Facilities
Course was in decent condition & the overall facilities including the top tracer driving range & refurbished clubhouse are really very good.
Total Golf
Regent park, the course is in pristine condition, the greens are like snooker tables.
I've completed golf now for the Manchester area and regent park tops the lot.
Loads of parking, Sound lads in the pro shop, proper driving range, halfway house that's always open, 5* clubhouse and food.
You could shoot your worst round ever and still be happy.
Greenskeepers and staff are smashing it 👊
Hi Total Golf, Thank you for leaving such a positive review. Please drop us an email at info@regeantparkgolfcourse.co.uk as we would like to invite you back for another round. kindest regards, RPGC
Played multiple times on a weekend, good pace of play early in morning. Can get a bit slower when busy. Not the cheapest municipal but always in good condition through spring/summer/autumn. Good driving range, pro shop and restaurant.
Hidden Gem
Very friendly club with great facilities, driving range, bar, restaurant and a wonderful course.
Challenging but not overly difficult, quite a roomy track that allows you to open your shoulders!
In good condition and an enjoyable round.
Recommended to all.

Hi Reecey2,

As the works to the Greens took place after you had booked we took the time to ring you up and offered a full refund if you did not want to play after we had micro tined and top dressed the Greens, we also offered 50% off your next round if you still wanted to play.
We do not enforce fairway mats in winter so we do get a lot of divots. We remedy that with a divoting party in Spring and yes the course can get wet and muddy in winter months when we get a lot of rain but that is typical of most course in our area at that time of year.
