Harwood Golf Club

Course was very wet holes 12 to 16 closed rest of Course very wet ,I booked this course because it's had review say it holds up in bad weather we'll this was not what I was expecting cost 90 pounds for two in that condition it should be 15 pounds with holes 12 to 16 closed cos of to wet to play them holes I was very disappointed cos it was game with my son for his birthday I apologise to him for it not been in better condition cos review said it was had to use fairway mat course is over rated in summer it will be good game here but not in wet weather lot of temporary greens not worth 90 pounds for two .

Some of the front nine sideways slopping fairways are nearly impossible to stay on, they are rock hard, greens are very nice although they are very hard as well, definitely well worth playing with some fantastic views.

Excellent course in great condition relatively short but plenty of hazards to catch u in, one or two greens with sandy hoof holes under repair that'll be fine in a week, staff very friendly & welcoming.

Will visit again for sure

Great course. A little damp in places but overall in very good condition. Some great short holes giving the high handicap player a chance to get a birdie.

Nothing not to like - great course in great condition. Played last year and was VERY wet on the back nine but despite plenty of rain this last week it was fine. Will play again

I've not played Harwood for a couple of years. It's not my favourite layout as its either up and down hills or very flat. I found time on Fathers day to treat myself to a game and picked Harwood only because it had the right tee time available. There was a ladies three ball and two groups of gents two balls in front of me but a hole ahead of each other. I was on my own but even though play was overly slow I was not waved through! The fairways on the opening hilly part of the course were in reasonable condition and the greens well maintained. The back half of the course was sadly still wet and the ball plugged on almost every shot. It's the fault of the weather and the layout for this although more drainage might not hurt. An ok experience but at £27 not exactly a bargain.

Enjoyed my first visit to Harwood GC with course in very good shape and members who joined me for a number of holes very friendly and welcoming.. Pace of play was a touch slow but understandable given competition groups ahead and the difficult weather conditions..

1 Greens are poor full of sand feels like your playing on Astro turf

2 More red stakes are needed to give more guidance when approaching greens

3 The scorecard has a print error with 2 holes having the same stroke index

Not pointed out in club shop

:4 Semi rough needs cutting ( feels like your playing in a farmers field )

5 Overpriced for the state of the course £35

6 Random trees scattered on fairways
