Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club

2nd visit to this hidden gem ,the views from the cliff top section are spectacular.the more inland parkland section is also a great test with lots of elevated tees to make you feel good about the worm burners.greens true and fast on every hole .Pro shop staff were helpful and pointed us to a nice golf store on our way home which we visited, hope they are on a commission. All in all if you enjoy seaside golf i couldn't recommend it highly enough

The course and facilities were absolutely first rate during our visit. You could be forgiven for thinking the back nine might be an anticlimax after playing the front nine but you would be wrong - the course keeps you interested right until the eighteenth which is one of the best final holes in the UK and possibly anywhere in the world for that matter. Edwardian golf course engineering at it's very best and definitely one for the "must play" list. 👍👌

Nearly 4 and a half hours. Plenty of 2balls in front but everyone played deathly slow. No one being let thru or keeping up with groups in front. Beautiful course but scores were ruined by waiting and left course angry.

Always enjoy playing here and today no exception.

The professional Shaun is more than welcoming as gave a tube of balls ( no charge ) as long as you recollected lol. Course in great condition in all departments ie greens, fairways and tee boxes. Played off 9.3 shot a 85 and in fairness played well in good weather conditions. Not to be taken for granted as greens deceptively hard to read. Possibly 40th time played from Wheatley GC so know what a good Course should be. Can't wait for the Scarborough Classic in July with the 2nd round in leaderboard order.

Wow what can I say about Scarborough south cliff golf course brilliant 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars from guy in shop welcoming and told we could get off straight away the course is very undulating but the scenery and the views on the cliffs are incredible the greens were world class some fast some slow some undulating ones all this for 43 quid for the two of us we will be back south cliff thanks for a brilliant Saturday afternoon at your club 👏👏👏

On arrival, the girl in the shop told me I could tee off earlier than expected as there was space after the ladies members tee times. First couple of holes were fine until I caught up with two groups in front of me. Pace became slow for a few holes until I was eventually let through on the 11th. Holes 4-10 were cliff top and pleasing to the eye with views over the sea and Scarborough. When turning back inland I was pleasantly surprised as the course meandered its way around hills. Elevated tees, cambered fairways and tricky greens made it a tough test. 16-18 particularly tough but most enjoyable. Played well which always helps and I fully recommend anyone to have a round there.

I really like Scarborough South and wish I lived a bit nearer. I would seriously consider joining.

Great course to play, the greens are in fantastic condition and had wonderful sea views from the 4th hole.

Very slow play 2 four balls 3 groups in front totally spoiled it no chance of playing through not good very disappointed

The course was in excellent condition when most courses I've played lately are partched due to te dry conditions.

The fairways we're green and the greens were in great condition.

All the staff are very friendly.

I'd strongly recommend playing this lovely course.

As a fourball we very much enjoyed the course. Both the cliff top and the in land holes were well thought out and in superb condition.
