Filey Golf Club - Main Course

Loved every minute of it. From pro shop arrival to final putt. Conditions for mid October were awesome. Greens were like summer time. Every hole different. Some long par 4s and some lovely short protected par3s. The opening hole when you get to the top is an outstanding view and the last 3 are just wow. If I lived in the area this would definitely be my home course. 11 out of 10

Arrived as a single player. Asked in the shop if it was possible to join the 2ball in front of me who were members. No problem at all. Two great guys Alan and roger. What a great course with no two holes the same. I must of said omg what a lovely looking hole this is several times. The greens are some of the best greens I've ever played on and that's in mid October. The practice facilities are very good. Driving range, putting green and even a 9 hole course. The coastal scenery going out on the 1st and coming back on 16,17,18 are incredible. I will 100% return when I'm next visiting the area

A realy good day. Pleasant staff, course in great condition, played at 10.15 and had millionaires golf, scored well, what more can you ask for. Will ve back.

Lovely course, some cracking holes and really well looked after. Excellent all round facilities with a 9 hole course, driving range and practice areas. Would highly recommend

This is a course with many interesting holes which was in good order given the recent dry weather. The greens didn’t look particularly good but played very true. We were not pressed at all and could play at a good pace.

Amazing course, great views, friendly people, extremely slow play on a Thursday. Walked a round on the Monday in 2hrs38mins, Thursdays round took 4hrs42mins

Fairly enjoyable course and easily walkable without a buggy or trolley.

Couple of fairways play quite tightly parallel to each other up and down. The issue I had (and maybe my own doing not paying attention), there are a couple of holes where the tee box plays over the green of the prior hole. if you don't know the course this may not be immediately obvious and can upset the group in front of you if you're on the green preventing them teeing off. I may have missed the note on the tee box advising of this but it caused a bit of friction putting me on the defensive neither being local or having knowledge of the course. Other than that I managed to get around in under 3 hours with several polite groups allowing me to play through as a single player.

From arrival to leaving everything was perfect would recommend the course to everyone.

Mixture of Parkland and links beautiful layout . Start of the season trip saw lots of work and effort been put in by the green keepers only issue 1 4 ball group driving over the tops of peoples heads and not ringing the bells as late to start there competition so literally trying to race through the course . Excluding that issue the course was fantastic scenically and friendly staff would return .

Can't fault the course , was in excellent condition for the time of year, weather beat us in the end , would love to play it again in more favourable conditions.

We had a great day at Filey G C. The course was in great condition and although it was very busy it moved along nicely. We enjoyed it that much we returned the next day. It was well worth the 2 hour drive ! If your at the east coast and looking for a round you won’t be disappointed playing here

My wife and always enjoy playing this fabulous course. Even in March( with alot of courses closed/with limitations in the surrounding areas) it didn't disappoint and was fully open and in brilliant condition. Very welcoming pro,staff and members . A challenging but fair track especially when the day was v.windy. First two and last two holes on the cliff top with great views over filey bay. Middle holes offer a little shelter from the wind and of beautiful parkland nature. Would thoroughly recommend you give Filey a go- you'll be glad you did!

Geographically stunning course which blends very windy links holes with stunning parkland holes that undulate and rise/fall dramatically. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming, and all the members have a smile and say hello. Fairway mats in operation on this February winter day, but given all the rain we've had that is understandable - not that the course isn't well drained in most places. Highly recommended golf club, and don't forget the 9-hole Academy course, which is also WHS rated.

The whole experience on the day was exceptionally good from walking into the pro shop to confirm my booking to warming up on the putting green.

All the members I met were very friendly and helpful.

I will be returning to play the course before I finish my holidays and I can't recommend the course enough as it is in fantastic condition given the weather we had earlier this year.
