Great par 3. Well maintained.
Course is in good shape right now. The turf is nice and the greens are in good shape.
Pace was great. Basically nobody out here. 3 groups total at weekday midday. Played in about 50 minutes taking my time.
Good variety here too. Several holes from 80-110 yds, with bunkers and water hazards. A couple at 140-150. And the last hole is challenging. You have to carry up to 160 depending on the tee location to clear the pond and hit basically an island green surrounded by thick forest. Bring some old balls you don’t mind sacrificing to the golf gods.
9th hole is unplayable
Course condition is poor, the bunkers are inconsistent and the greens are full of pitch marks, some tee boxes are uneven and could use some love. The ninth hole has become unplayable - tee box is sandy, green is like putting on lumpy shag carpet, and the entire green complex and surrounding area was so soft that approach shots lodged into the mud. This has effectively become an 8-hole course, which for almost $30 (tax included) is no longer a great buy. Sad to see it like this.
Awesome Course
I love this Par 3! Only criticism would be for poorly marked tee boxes.
Great short, fun course!
Had fun playing here with my girlfriend who is getting into golf. 18 holes is too long for her so I I wanted to try a par 3 course. Greens were in good shape for this time of year. Ball rolled fast. You have to be precise with your shots! Last hole was tough! We lost 3 balls in the water before calling it a day! Not bad for $25!
Beautiful Par 3
Great course. Only disappointment is the T Box markings.
Not very good any longer. I could have played 18 holes elsewhere for &10 more!
Course was in overall bad shape and very crowded after I had asked and the person I dealt with said it was wide open. Not, gate was open and apparently people were coming in and playing free. No little shack any longer open with an attendant any longer so no bathroom and no snacks or drinks. used to be nice when they had an attendant! Not now!
Value represents condition
What can you really complain about being $25 to play nine holes on a part three course. The grains are in pretty rough condition but again considering it’s $25 it’s kind of what you would expect, but with the name that Château Allan has for their other courses. I would expect it to be a little bit better taken care of. Staff is friendly as always love going to château and playing just wish they would pay a little more attention to the executive course I would be willing to pay a little bit more for better well maintained course.
Why did I pay
Not sure if this was a one off or how it is, but showed up for a 4pm tee time, was a bit early, but when I asked the club house how busy it was they said they had a few groups throughout the day but made it seem like it wasn't busy atm. When I got to the course (which is off-site) their was a line if like 4 diff groups waiting to tee off. When it was 4pm and should have been my time to tee off I found out from talking to the group ahead of me they had jus shown up and got in line and didn't have a tee time. Called the club house and confirmed other than a group they had just sent, there shouldn't be anyone else out there. Informed them there were about 3 groups ahead of me and 3 groups behind me. They said they would send someone out to deal with it but I finished my round and never saw anyone (bout 1.5 hrs). So I'd suggest not playing here until they get someone to manage the tee offs so that it doesn't just have people showing up and playing like it's a free course.
