Chicopee Woods Golf Course - Mill Nine
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a 27-hole course that sprawls across rolling terrain. It is one of the most popular public courses in the Gainesville area. The holes are divided into three nines called the Village, the School, and the Mill. They share the same scenic landscape but they each offer a different set of challenges. Five sets of tees provide the option of playing to your skill level. The Mill is the shortest of the three nines. Strategically placed bunkers come into play on almost every hole, you'll find plenty of them on the par-4 seventh. There are back-to-back water features starting with the second hole, the golf course's only water holes. Chicopee Woods GC also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens available.

Golfer Reviews
Pace of play….Etiquette….
The focus to slam more people in on each nine versus trying to maintain the pace of play is AWFUL!!! First nine 2.5 hours second nine almost 3 hours. Brutal
Hidden Gem in my Backyard
I've been meaning to come here for a while but the stars never aligned. Finally got a chance to break away and to my surprise, this was only 35 minutes away. I read a lot of the previous reviews, the good ones and the bad ones. Who ever said that the car paths are the smoothest in the area, they were not lying. Staff was super friendly. From the guy who checked you in, to the starter who gave some great tips about the course. Water dispensers and sand refills at every three to four holes. Ball and club cleaner on the cart with a cooler to boot. On board navigation was very helpful and I was able to see the group in front, to make sure we wouldn't hit into them. Beverage cart only came by twice. It could have been that she was the only one for 27 holes. Some greens were a bit burned or damaged but overall, the course was great. Lots of leaves but then again, this is a course in the middle of a forest. Adding to my list to bring out of town guest. Top 5 for me in North GA. Minimum wait, i would say 10 minutes total for the entire round.
Great value & course
In a great shape. If there were less leaves, it would’ve gotten a 5 out of 5 stars
WOW…in. Good way
Heard about Chicopee over the years but just never made a tee time.
This public 27 holes is one of the best conditions I’ve seen. Greens were perfect. Fairways were incredible and both at a level I don’t expect from a public course…especially one that gets 75,000 rounds a yr.
DEF gonna go back and make this a regular stop.
Broke 80 for the first time
I really enjoy this course and had an excellent time breaking 80 on Saturday. Pro shop was closed when we finished so I couldn’t buy anything to commemorate the accomplishment! But I will be back soon!
Excellent round!
Great round at CW! All is looking great right now tees, fairways, traps, and greens!!
TeeTom
Had a great round of golf. Course was really good condition.
The tree others I played were fun group to play with and made our round enjoyable. I would highly recommend playing here.
8/25 Round
we teed off at 8:06 and we’re off the course 3 1/2 hours later! The course was in phenomenal condition! We were serviced by the refreshment cart and my friend from Michigan who had not played the course could not believe the great value, we here have here in Georgia to play
Solid!
Course is in good shape for early August and the greens are healing nicely after getting punched. Back 9 pace of play kept this from being a 5 star day. Had extended wait times on 8 of 9 holes.
Amazing Course
Always a beautiful site to see you whenever you’re out on the green and on that beautiful course.
