Almaden Golf & Country Club

Almaden GCC is a bit out of the way in south San Jose, but well worth the trip. The new clubhouse is awesome. The course is in unbelieveable shape with pristine greens that roll to about 12 on the simp meter. Almaden is a very walkable course. If you get a chance to play here, take it.

First off, the scorecard on this web page is completely inaccurate. I.e. hole 15 is a part 3 with max distance of 180 from tournament tees, I think the scorecard here lists it at 190? Men's blue tee from 15 is usually at 155, so the Ladies' listing of 166 for hole 15 is way off. If you've played here a lot, you know it's not as challenging as it's cracked up to be, and if you know where to hit it. They work really hard to keep the course in immaculate conditions, the greens are the best in the Bay Area. If you can consider joining I'd definitely recommend it.
