Great Course but Over Booked
While the course is probably a 4.5, player management could be greatly improved. The tee times are over sold and there is a lack of marshalling to keep players moving, 1 slow group can cause a major back up. The rounds are taking 2.5 to 3 hours per 9 the last couple of trips with a significant waits at each hole. Love the course but hate not being able to get into a rhythm.
Grille is good compare to other courses, carts could use updating the steering wheels will mark up your golf pants and I've had some with almost no brakes.
Course is awesome, one of the better ones I've played in the area.
Best value in the triangle!
A favorite course of mine just outside the triangle with three unique nines, and some great barbecue in the clubhouse. The quality of golf you get for what you pay is unparalleled. Do it!
Nice course. Fairways were still dormant, so it’s not really playing the way it will.
Overall a nice course. Layout is very nice although I only played the front nine. First time playing the course. Fairways were dormant, extremely short and a bit muddy, which to be which is to be expected in North Carolina in March. Looking forward to playing it when the grass comes in. Greens were fair, weeds/crabgrass present
Enjoyed the day
Nice layout. Good value. Great staff. Course was in very good condition for February.
Average Public Track with a GREAT app
Take with a grain of salt given it's February, but nothing too special here. Got a hot deal for $28 and it's about what you'd expect for that price. Greens are slow with lots of rough spots. My ball frequently found bare spots in and around the fairways. I will say I was playing with someone who lives by the course and he said they're getting better irrigation and that it's better in the Summer
This course has its own mobile app and it's phenomenal. GPS and scoring, tips on playing each hole, food menu, player stats, etc. I was very impressed by that.
Design is interesting enough, the "Gauntlet" from 12-15 was very tough. Might play again but will definitely wait until Summer.
Slow Saturday
Clubhouse staff was great. Frost delay for about 30 mins. Not a big deal. Starter let a twosome off in between a foursome and our foursome. The twosome had a much later tee time and starter still let them go (gave me heartburn). Course was cart path only. Could have easily just said cart path only on select holes. Worst part was that the turf around a lot of the greens was under repair (maybe related to sprinkler work?) and most greens had several bad spots and a bit of Po grass creep. If the green fees were $40 I’d be cool with it, but $60 for an almost 5 hr round and poor playing conditions, I can’t get behind it. I will look elsewhere in the future. In my opinion, not one of NC’s best golf courses, as their website claims.
Great layout
Beautiful golf course with a great layout. Generous fairways with sloping greens. Conditions are really good for late January. A lot of irrigation maintenance, but not a big issue. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and looking to play.
Summer maintenence
The course was being worked on and number one was closed. It looked like the sprinklers were being worked on. Over all the rest of the course was in very good shape. It was cold and not crowded, so I was able to play quickly as a single. The cart I had on this particular day (#22) had a problem with the steering but that is a first. Usually there carts are great as they are fairly new. The staff is never welcoming or overly friendly and today was no exception. I will keep going back as I enjoy the course and it is close to home.
Always a great time
I love playing at Reedy Creek. I was able to book a tee time here and it was only $14 with coupons. The greens are in great shape, with the exception of a couple of holes where they have new turf laid down that will definitely affect your roll. Also, I appreciate it is winter but I don't understand why the fairways are cut so tight. Maybe they are letting them grow and it's just been too cold.
Great Public Course
Need more of these courses to stay around.
Thanks for keeping the houses away from the layout.
