Jamestown Park Golf Course

Played this course several times. The layout is challenging but the geeens were even more of a challenge! They were hard and fast and virtually impossible to land a ball close and have it stick. If you are a good putter and up for the challenge this course is for you

JPGC is in real good shape. It’s especially nice for the GN price.

I come here ever so often and never had a bad day and the greens are nice and I even shot par for the first 12 holes on this course not bad with a true read on the green. Now currently there is a little sand overlay on the greens but not a problem.

We were a twosome and were stuck behind a slow moving foursome, another twosome, a single, and then us. At one point there were 4 groups on one hole. We called the clubhouse and they sent some woman to talk to us. She flat out told us that it didn't matter how many groups were stuck behind this foursome or how many holes were open ahead of them because they were keeping up with their 4 hour twenty minute round. She obviously knows nothing about golf etiquette and she was quite rude to us. She said that foursomes always have priority and that if you come out and play with less than that it could be a very long day for you.

The course is fine.

The greens are phenomenal.

The pace of play is horrendous. Took five whole hours. No ranger to keep groups moving. Too many tee times too close together.

Love this course, but they have to do something about pace. The greens are wonderful, but the average golfer can't putt them and everyone plays like they're on tour. You shouldn't plumb bob an 8-footer for double bogey.

This really kills a nice course.

Play during the week here.

Go somewhere else on weekends.

The course greens were in outstanding condition at this time of the year. The course fairways were very dormant. There were a lot of bare spots. There were also a lot of holes that were wet. And they need to work on their drainage situation and need to cover those bare spots on some of the fairways.

Jamestown Golf course is one the best bargain for your buck in the area. Jamestown offers up great scenic views. The course has several risk & rewards shots throughout the track. Putting greens are rolling great(true). The staff there is top notch. The course seems to leave an indelible impression among fellow golfers and this is why they return to play.

I really enjoy the course and the staffs are awesome.

The courses in the area have sustained in excess of two feet of rain above average. The carts were on the path due to all the rain. However the greens are excellent. A lot of slope so if you can stay below the hole. Five sets of tees so find one you enjoy. No blind shots but take more club for uphill shots. A challenging course for any handicap.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this well kept up course. The putting surface was tremendous and the course lay out was challenging and fun.

We played this course a few weeks ago and loved it but the condition of the course has changed. Too many leaves on the greens. Fairways were typical fall golf.

My biggest complaint is that your forced to play with others. I understand that’s not rare but it was a Thursday at 11:18am. Went there to practice some new techniques but wasn’t able to because I had to keep pace with people I didn’t know. Course is nice for the most part but no professional course by any means. Don’t treat it like one!

An old school course. Excellent greens and while the greens had been top-dressed they were quick. Fairways and teeing areas were well maintained and the rough was playable. Big greens with slope. A few blinds shots but for the most part you can see what is in front of you. Multiple teeing options.

Jamestown was as green and lush as we have ever seen it in 23 years. The only negative was the greens had been freshly sanded making putting a challenge

I just love the fast greens which provide a true roll.

Good greens, fairways are coming in very well. Would highly encourage a ranger to go around to move slow play along. To many slow players, not allowing faster play to pass. Would also suggest a drink cart with 90+ degree days, a drink cart would be nice. Overall, great course for the money.
