Great Course
This was a great course and me and my wife love playing here.
Will play again!
A very friendly and welcoming staff is always a great way to start a golf day. The course is very well maintained for the price. It isn't very long but some dog legs, water, and tight fairways keep it challenging. I'll be back soon...
Great Course
First time playing the course. Just moved to the area from California. Perfect conditions to play in and the course was in great shape. I will definitely be back.
Interesting course
While not a long course, the greens have subtle breaks that easily lead to 3 putts. Fairways are in excellent shape. Greens roll very well. Rough around the greens is getting really thick and makes short chips very challenging. Lots of variation between holes - the par 3's are fairly challenging. Trap placement makes your approach shots really important. Traps are in pretty good condition. A very fun course that can trick you into a double bogey before you know it.
Great Course - Better Staff
This course is great for all experience levels. Personally I find a course like this one excellent because it’s hard to lose a ball if you have a bad hack. However the grass is well kept making it easy to find a consistent swing for the day. The staff is super friendly and engaged with their customers. The only thing is to make sure you call in your order to the clubhouse on hole #9.
Good Course recommend it
Nice pleasant course in Maiden if I was staying in the area it might become my home course.
Great value
This is really a great course for the money. Greens are good, a little slow compared to what I’m used to. Fairways are great. They need to have water to drunk on the course, not one water jug on the course. But everything else was good.
Meh
The course is fine, nothing special. I have this course before and felt that it was better in the past. It has some nice water holes. The greens are soft and are not to fast or slow. Greens are in okay condition. Still enjoyed the day though. Not as nice as RockBarn which is not too far away in Conover.
Great course to play
Great conditions and great layout, very challeging and fun
Always a Pleasure
We never worry about conditions, pace of play, or staff friendliness. The back nine has some quirky holes, but that just adds to the enjoyment . Highly recommend.
Great value for the money
I am visiting from out of town and found this course through golf now. When we arrived it wasn’t busy and we were greeted by the friendly guy in the pro shop. He gave us some tips about the course and we paid the modest greens fee. The course was in good shape and was a nice layout. Not super hard but some challenges, dog legs, water, etc. The only issue I had was they were spraying the greens all morning which slowed the greens on this already humid day and left green dye everywhere. Outside of that, great course for $37 on a weekday. I would definitely play there again!
Great as expected
This course is consistently in great shape. The greens were rolling true. One bunker on number 11 could use more sand. Very friendly staff, nice selection of shirts in the pro shop, and the food is always good. Highly recommended.
Rate
Disappointed when I found out I could have gotten a lower rate then the Hot Deal by asking for the senior rate
Worst greens
I have seen better green conditions at a par 3 course called challenger 3 where it’s 20 dollars to play all day. Fix the greens and this course would be fantastic.
Great layout - well maintained
2nd time playing this course. Nice layout, somewhat challenging. Well maintained. Will definitely play again.
Fun Fun Fun
This was January so it is winter golf and we have had lots of rain this winter (which is not unusual),
therefore the course is wet, but you know that before you even start. I have played this course a number of times but mainly back in the 1990s. It is a good layout and lots of fun to play. Enjoyed the round immensely.
