Nags Head Golf Links

Great layout, wind can make this a very challenging day. Many risk/reward opportunities, great conditions. Greens were a little slow but it had just rained heavily the night before. Many picturesque holes. I play every time we vacation on the Outer Banks and always enjoy the round.

I play Nags Head Links every summer while in the Outer Banks. It is one of my favorite courses because it makes you think your way around the course, play different shots, and uses the entire bag. Perfect day on the course!

Always a good time here. I make it a point to play at least once when we are down visiting OBX. The course has a great layout, excellent conditions, and beautiful views. A little on the shorter side but the wind can make this a tough but fair challenge. Highly recommend giving this a look if you're in the area.

Really need to look at the number of forced carries on this course prior to playing it. Greens were in pretty good condition albeit slow due to rain. I would rather spend the funds to play Seascape or Currituck Club. Better bang for the same buck.

It may be related to the time on year and the type of grass but these are the slowest greens I have encountered from Topsail to Nags Head.

The first attendant that I spoke with in the pro shop was very cocky, the gentleman that actually checked me in and the starter were very pleasant.

Course was in good shape, slow front nine but back nine picked up pace. Always enjoy playing this track.

If you’re visiting OBX this is a great addition to your vacation. The course is challenging and you don’t need your driver very often.

The course was in great shape. Fairways were green and nice, traps were well maintained. But most of all, the greens were consistant.

The staff was very nice and helpful.

The layout of the course is just amazon. Picturesque holes along the sound. Lots of really nice water features through out the whole course. Lots of wildlife.

If I ever make it back to OBX, I will definitely be playing here again.

Nags Head is a tricky little fun layout with lots of shot making opportunities. The course is kind of crammed in between the sound and houses, which limits the length of the course. The greens are ridiculously slow. Was told it was so they don’t burnout in the summer, which doesn’t make a lot of sense unless you are managing water. They were probably running at a 7 at best. Highlights were the par 5’s which take advantage of the shoreline and provide some interesting risk reward shots.

What more can I say about this course that has already been said. Greatest course to play around OBX. Every hole has interesting challenges and the course was in top shape. Greens were a little slower that courses I play at home in Pa, but that’s were you skill or lack of it comes into play. Certainly recommend to anyone who wants to play a round on the Outer Banks.
