Nags Head Golf Links

My rating of the course reflects playing in February. Otherwise, the course was in great shape. Overall, I found it very tight with homes close to the fairways. I didn't hit any so that was good. Given that, a tight course gives you challenges. It would help if a schematic be included with the score card; my good shots found some trouble on a few holes. I should of used my GPS more efficiently. I played in less than 4 hours so that was great. I thought the layout to be challenging for never playing it before. Otherwise, I would certainly recommend a round or more if you are in the area. Totally enjoyed everything. Thanks for having me. Coming from New England it's always nice to be golfing in February.

They could use a course map with yardage to assist in the playing of the course, especially with the wind blowing hard out of the west (20 mph)

Played along with another single and a twosome in just over 4-1/4 hrs

Will definitely play here again when I am in the area

This is my favorite golf course. The bay views are outstanding. The homes along the course are lovely. Every hole has at least 1 challenge. There are lots of water and lots of rough tall grass areas to avoid. If you can hit the ball straight and far, you should do well. If not, bring lots of golf balls.

Every year during February, we play several courses at OBX and we always play Nags Head. It’s a beautiful course, and for February it was in great shape. We will be back next year.

The wind along the sound side was probably 20-30 mph so it was quite a challenge on the holes beside the sound. It was also in the 40's when I started to play so it was also rather cold. My first time playing the course and I would love to play it again under better conditions.

I played this course once before about 15 years ago always remember the nice scenery of the sound, and all the nature it goes with it. No to the course every time you step up on the Teebox you look at and wonder what club do I tee off with it was less than six holes where driver was needed. If it was even needed then it’s just a shot makers course and a good one at that. The greens were just smokin, if you hit it online it won’t we hit it it just need to worry about speed you’re very fast. Very nice For me as a local winner is the time to play too many tourists in the summer. Looking forward to plan it again here in the next couple weeks.

With so few golf courses in the OBX, your choices are truly limited, and the management for the Golf Links know it. Although physically beautiful in many places, the golf course is really tight, and totally punative and punishing if you are not a very low handicapper. Balls hit just feet off the fairways are likely lost. In peak vacation season- demand is huge wich pushes pricing to the level of ludicrousness. Ot also means rounds can go 5:30, or 6 hours per. which can be maddening. I'd recommend you play it once- and then determine on your own whether you think it is worth the price.

4 of us played the course, friendly knowledgeable staff and very accommodating. Driving range is ok could be better. The course is a nice mix of types of holes. If you play late in the day the back 9 is a treat playing next to the water and sunset. Can't wait to play there again in a few weeks.

I love playing this course. I've played it a few times in the past. I'd play it a lot more if it wasn't 130 in the summer. We played in November and it was reasonable at 60-70. Only thing is that don't waste your money on range balls. They charged us 7 bucks for a small bag of plastic balls lol. I mean the range is small but put up a net or something and only allow irons. They can afford it with the amount they charge to play during the year. 7 bucks for basically plastic balls is insane.
