River Ridge Golf Club

First time playing River Ridge Golf Course. Found the course to be in great shape. Course layout presented a challenging and fun round of golf. Definitely will play again.

The course conditions are decent , greens run well and are fast as lightning, based on sub 80’s HC you can handle it. 95+ handicaps If you play here prepare to get outraged!!!! All you need is a clown face and a windmill….25+ handicap good luck! If you can’t fade or draw on command very frustrating……just telling the truth i normally shoot high 80’s low to mid 90’s

If you have full control of you shot shape then have at it. that in you bag play it you’ll do well because its target golf….on the par 5’s your not Abel to use your driver unless you it it 280-300 and want to risk going over 70ft tall pines and oaks. For me since I don’t have the draw in my bag the least hand try line killed me….but that’s just me, limited options for left to right fade. you have no option on a good amount of the holes. I’m not great but visually not for me. 15-18 handicap may be able to navigate this course….just an honest opinion to help the pace of play!!! And anyone over a 22-25+ need not apply…..or bring a lot of balls!!!

This is a great course with a fair challenge of God. Course is in very good condition, greens are consistent and roll around 11 or a bit more .

Beautiful property even with some construction ongoing. Friendly desk and starter staff. Greens were perfect. Course weaves nicely through the residential area without having to worry about hitting houses. Can't wait to play it again soon.

I haven't played this course in year even though it's 20 minutes away from me and I was reminded how much I like this course. The layout makes it a strategic course where shot position is most important vs length. Given the dry hot conditions the course was in great shape. I was a single paired with a twosome and we had a great time playing. As hot as it was, the water coolers were removed from the course which I would suggest they keep them out for refills. If I had to make a complaint it would be the bugs! Even with bug spray every hole you're getting eatin up by bugs in your eyes, nose, ears etc. They swarm around you constantly. Not sure what can be done about it but hoping they can do something. I'll try different kinds of bug spray next time but if it doesn't help it will impact me going back again.

Great course, well maintained and challenging!! My only criticism is that I never encountered the beverage cart person (and it was VERY hot). Saw her from a distance on another hole, but she couldn’t find me for 18. LOVE the course though!!
