Pleasantly surprised
I had read mixed reviews of this course, but was very pleasantly surprised. While it's an old school design with what I think are small greens, some narrow fairways, and too many trees coming into play, the overall experience was very good. The course and greens were in very good condition in my opinion and I had a good time. I will definitely go back and would recommend you give it a try. For the price it's hard to beat.
Pleased overall
First time playing here and the course was in great shape. Fairways and greens were well maintained.
Good value
This is a forgiving course for most holes. There are challenges still there so it’s still fun. Greens are looking way better. Some tee boxes could definitely use some help but given the cost to play here it’s really a great value for what you pay.
cheap up grade
I love to play RGA. They also have top rate equipment in their carts. However, I would appreciate a Cart Sign before the greens. The technology in their golf carts lock you up when approaching the greens. I do not drive too close but got lock out a few times. 14- 15 places wood not too much to ask for.
Very Fun Course
Great course with some very nice scenery, fun layout. Not the longest holes, and some downhill which make some par 4’s drivable, and some great chances for eagle. Keeping the ball in the middle is important as it’s easy to lose a ball once you stray too far from the fairway. Will definitely play again.
Only issues observed (mostly opinion based): fairways could be a nicer kept as the grass can get a little long in some places of the fairway. Not a huge distinct difference between rough and fairway in some places. Greens had been aerated I assume to be a month ago now. Ball still had great roll on the greens and seemed to be healing well. I’m sure in another two weeks they will be in top shape for this course.
Okay Course
Last few rounds played have been very slow paced. Some holes running on a 2 or 3 foursome backup. Cart keeps reminding you that you are behind pace but it never addressed. One of the few course I have see that allows walkers during the heavy parts of the morning / early afternoon.
Tee boxes need A LOT of attention...!!!.
Overall though I do enjoy playing rounds at RGA!
Greens - well, they’re green
Very slow pace. No ranger in site all round, though the group in front was playing some best ball game and driving the length of the hole and back several times. Incredibly frustrating and slow.
