Wil-Mar Golf Club

Definitely one of the best courses for the value in Raleigh. With the time change, I'm hopeful that the course will update it's twilight hours as well. Course is in pretty good shape, although a few of the tee boxes could use some serious work. Even though the temperature has cooled down, the greens are still incredibly slow. If they brought the greens up to 9-10, this course would be even better. As for the off-course amenities, the bar inexplicably closes at 5 on Fri/Sat. I mean, come on. For the upcoming season, 6pm at the earliest. For the summer months, if they're not open until 8pm on Fri/Sat, you're losing money. To close, give this track a go, especially if they speed up the greens and keep the bar open a bit later.

Good course. Easy play. Friendly staff- send you off when you are ready - not steadfast -keeping to tee times. Friendly players - greens were good. Enjoyed the game.

This course is great if you're looking for something more laid back. It's not fancy but a great value. The course was in good shape and a good balance of not being too challenging but also not boring or easy. It was simply an enjoyable place to play a reasonably priced round of golf. The staff was also very friendly.

The course was so nice. We enjoyed our time happily. It is near to the city, so we can go easily. The course was a little bit easy.

Course is in great shape - especially considering how much play it gets. Greens are really nice - and were difficult for me to read. Quite a bit of break in some short putts - lots of undulations on some smallish greens. Rough is tall - beware. Course would be in much better shape if everyone learned to fix their ball marks, fill in their divots, and rake the traps. There were plenty of rakes available - I don't understand how you can mess up a trap and then just walk away from it. Excellent food at the turn. Nice staff. Range balls had some pretty old, faded rocks thrown in. Great value for the money.

The course is in great shape and the pace of play was quick. The staff was very helpful as usual and I love hitting their driving range before playing.We played as a twosome and played 18 holes in under four hours.I will play this course again and would recommend to anyone in the area.

I got a good deal on Golfnow which apparently you can get pretty often. Most fairways are in really good shape. The rough is truly rough. The greens aren't bad but could definitely be improved. For the price on Golfnow, you really can't beat playing here.

Well maintained course, greens a little slow but smooth, need to be aggressive with putts

So the rough is crazy with magical disappearing acts. DO NOT hit your ball anywhere near the rough or bring enough balls with you to take your FREE drop.

Told staff about and even they said that probably a two foot row on each side - first cut should be shaved to help but it was great time

This course is always in great shape. They take much pride in offering a good golfing experience for all levels of play.

Course was in very good condition. The only negative was there were lots of bugs on the course. Would definitely recommend some bug spray if you play there. Annoying.

What a beautiful day! The course was in perfect shape and I got my first hole in one on the 155 yd, Par 3, #17 hole. Had a great time with my son. We really enjoy playing Wil-Mar and today was extra special!

Overall conditions were good. Fairways plush, greens consistent but slow, bunkers raked and playable, range in good shape. Layout ok, not real interesting. Addition of beverage cart is a plus, food and beverage is very good. Overall Wil-Mar has improved immensely over last couple of years. They are spending money on the course with good results. High QPR "go to" option!

Basically, a prefect day to play. Thunder in the distance, but practically had the course to ourselves on the front. The course was in great shape. The greens were a little slow

Marty and Wilma do a great job. The course is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Bogey's grill is one of the best food joints on a golf course that I have had. Will certainly play again.

Great day . Fast paced played at noon. Finished at 320. Played 18 . Light traffic on course . In good shape from tee to green . A few tee boxes overgrown ,otherwise very playable . Very enjoyable round
