Good value, a little slow
Pace of play slowed after front 9. Course was otherwise great
Beautiful
Five stars. A little rich for my wallet. Played the white tees which were almost immaculate. Fairways were beautiful when I saw them. Sand was consistent and I saw a lot of them. Greens rolled true. I will come back!
Greens still coming back from aeration but roll well, about 80% there.
Excellent Value
Very fair course with lots of sandtraps, but it is located in the sandhills. Tee boxes and fairways excellent shape. Greens had not long been aerated so they didn’t roll great in combo eith sand on greens.
That said, I highly recommend and will play again for sure.
Great layout - hidden gem
Hidden gem that if it it wasn't within shouting distance of Pinehurst, could charge double what they do now. Very challenging, excellent condition except greens had been punched about 20 days prior and were still a bit bumpy.
Will definitely come back and recommend to others.
Quail Ridge 7th round
Greens are improving as plugs set in. Ball still rolls fast but direction effected by holes. Still green undulation makes for a challenge. Fairways and tee boxes are well watered and prepared for play. As always the layout is interesting and challenging. Weather, very hot but this course leaves coolers of bottled water, iced and refreshing. One of my favorite courses.
Quail Ridge 6th time
Course well kept, dry in areas but not brown spots save for the greens which were recently plugged. Greens were sandy and provided some bumps as balls ran. Still and all a great round of golf but for the purest the greens conditions are the detriment. Staff was friendly and welcoming as always. Arrived early to use driving range. Encouraged to do so and jump on whenever. Excellent pace of play made for 3 hour time.
Quail Ridge 5th time
As always a great course to play, except that greens were p;lugged fairly recently and were dry, sandy. Still fast, undulating and challenging. Pace was good on front 9 with group of 4 in front. OK by me to slow my pace down. Passed them on the 10th hole - pace sped up - round in 3 hours. The course lay out makes this challenging no matter what you expect. Great views and friendly staff.
Normally a 5 star
Fairways and greens had been very recently aerated. Lot's of sand on the greens and very bumpy. No mention of the aeration on Golf Now and the rates were way too high for an almost unplayable course.
Course is usually in very good condition but I wouldn't play it for at least another week, probably two.
