Great Golf - Great Time
My brother and I really enjoyed this Quail Ridge. Driven by it several times going to other courses in Southerpines/Pinehurst area. Should have booked it sooner! We all have our options about golf course, for us as intermediate amateurs it was all great for us. Had as much fun and challenge as any of the courses we have played in the area……..well maybe except for Tobacco Road. Could learn a entire new level of patience there.
For anyone looking for perfection, stop looking, it does not exist.
Good Value
It was hot as Hades on 7/25/2023. Played from the geezer tees. Greens were challenging, especially #2. They hadn't cleared the mower cuttings as of mid-day but that's not a biggie. The fairways are in much better shape than Longleaf which is my normal course. All-in-all it's a good course, a bit of a trek 15 minutes of so from Pinehurst but would play again for the price and if the weather was a little cooler.
Great course - some of the staff not so much
I am a member at QR and love the course. It's in great shape (although recently punched) and well maintained in my experience.
My one complaint is certain members of the staff act as though they are doing you a favor by allowing you to play the course.

Course Maintenance staff get an A-
Course is in great shape. Fairways are long and straight for the most part with relatively few hazards. The greens are challenging, fast paced with undulations,, making three putts is easy to do. Made for an enjoyable day.

One of the best redos you will ever play.

Outstanding venue South of Raleigh and just North of Southern Pines/Pinehurst
A very friendly tract in excellent condition. Its been a great conditioned course for the last 4 years. The owners and staff take great pride in serving golfers
Enjoyable round
Course was booked but pace was good. Not much waiting and no one pushing us
Greens are in fantastic shape
Course was a little damp due to 2 days or rain and some morning rain. But, the course was in great shape considering all of the rain. Cart path only on a few holes due to the rain, but the course dried out really nicely. Greens were in fastastic shape and very fast.
Enjoyed another round
Course was totally booked but foursome let us play through and not as much waiting.

Enjoyed the course and plan to play again while we are here
Tight Lies
Too many tight lies and not enough grass around the greens.
