Cleveland Country Club

Booked this course because it was a private course and the heading for Golfnow said "member for a day". My employee and I were working in Charlotte and decided to play, but we were hungry since we hadn't eaten since 6am. When we arrived we were immediately told it was a private course, I know, that's why we booked it. Then tried to get lunch and was told it was only for members, but then the girl said she would sell us sandwiches but we had to eat them in the golf cart! After the round we tried to go in for a drink and we were told we had to ask the manager, she came out and all she said was " we are a private club" and walked away. I've played many private and exclusive clubs ( multiple Cliffs community courses, Thornblade in Greenville, and multiple in Hilton Head) I have eaten and had drinks at each of them with no issues. They need to train staff to welcome visitors who could possibly become members, if you don't want to welcome guests then don't offer times on Golfnow

So this is a members only course. If you book a tee time expect to be second to members. After being pushed back on our tee time for an hour they finally insisted we start on 10. Made the turn only to have to wait an hour for member groups to start their round even though we had been there since 10 that morning. The staff is rude, unfriendly, and down right disrespectful, but if you love being looked down upon by stuck up boogie people then this is the perfect spot for you.

Played there for the 2nd time. It was my wife’s first time at the course. The greens were perfect and the course was in good shape, given that we’ve had so much rain lately. We really enjoyed it.

Best maintained course in the Charlotte area. Fairways and roughs in good winter condition. Sand traps well raked and fluffy sand. Greens held the approach shot, medium speed, the ball rolled true.

Took the trip from Charlotte (45min) to check this place out. Although relatively short from the tips, there are lots of dog legs and elevation changes to keep things interesting. I think I hit driver less than a half dozen times. Greens are decently quick and complex, pins were challenging. They take course maintenance seriously here and it shows. Will definitely come back with critical course knowledge in hand.

Fairways in good condition. Roughs were long. Sand traps had loose, deep sand, best in the area. Greens rolled true, held the approach shot, were moderately fast. Pin positions were challenging.

The dry conditions made for great runout on ground shots but also made the challenging greens all the more exacting. Several greens with false fronts call for distance control but also reward you by running true. This is a course that makes up for length with doglegs hazards, and elevation changes. You won't find a better round for the dollar here in Cleveland County!

Fun course with great greens and an awesome clubhouse. One of the best clubhouses I’ve been in. The only thing I would change about the course is the tee boxes. The tips are around 6,500 and the next tee box is like 5,900. This is just me trying to find a flaw. Definitely a course I’d play again!

CCC - is a well keep secret, the course is always in great shape, and greens roll great. People are very friendly.

Played here with my cousin just to check it out and WOW! We played the tips and though the course isn't very "long" it is made up through challenging layouts and very fast greens. We hit almost all the clubs in our bag which was fun in itself. Had a great variety of holes with short Par 4s, uphill Par 5s along with a few long holes for the par it was. Some very nice risk vs reward holes as well. We had an amazing time playing this course today and will definitely be back!!

Greens rolled true and the fairways were nice as well. Length of the grass on the fairways were great. Front nine was a good set up not greatly challenging but the elevation changes on the back nine made up for the unique experience. Would definitely play again.
