River Bend YMCA Golf Course

Riverbend is always good, I like playing there. Greens are fast and firm. Fairways are just starting to green up. Wish I played better but that’s not the courses fault!

First time playing River bend YMCA course in 3-4 years. Website states that they have the best greens in the Foothills. They may be right, as these are some of the best greens I seen anywhere.

Wind was 15 -20 mph, making scoring difficult. Fairways 3.5/5, Greens 5/5, layout 4/5, traps 4.5/5, Clubhouse/staff 5/5, since due to the Covid-19 virus situation, interaction was limited, so gave best score. Round was pre-purchased online. Overall, I give a 4.25/5 for the golf course, with the greens being the highlight. I can't speak to the off course amenities.

Greens were in great conditions ! There is a couple holes being repaired . Over all great course easy to navigate

Overall a great course. Loved the layout. Great shape from tee to green. Greens rolled great and were in great shape. Were doing some work in a couple of places but did not affect play or overall aesthetics of the course. Can't wait to go back.

Course was wet and cart path only. Thin grass in fairways and tee boxes. However, greens were great. Fun round as always.

First off the staff her was exceptional and accommodatingThe price was very affordable and the course was in great shape for this time of the year ESPECIALLY THE GREENS.They were like carpet. I will be back

I didnt get pass the first hole I came down with the flu that day. hope to go back and play another day. They did have alot of people out that day. They do have a driving range by have to limit it to 200 yards

River Bend is a treat about 45 minutes west of Charlotte. The course is really well laid-out with a front nine winding through a neighborhood and a more compact back nine. Holes are pretty wide-open off the tee but there are plenty of water hazards to watch out for and tricky undulating greens. Really enjoy playing this course since it's pretty fair for golfers of all skill levels.

While the clubhouse and practice facilities aren't much to write about, the staff is always friendly and accommodated our twosome on a busy day with plenty of foursomes. Will definitely be back to play here, hopefully in the summer when conditions are greener and drier.

OVERALL: 7.3/10

This a a great play. Of course because of the season the course isn’t in top shape but it’s still well kept. Greens are hard and ball don’t stick well but definitely a golf course worth playing

First time playing here. Loved everything about it. Great staff. Course was in excellent condition and I am a golf course superintendent so I think I know a little something about course conditions. Beautiful fair layout. Great blend of very challenging and simple holes. Mini verde greens as good as they get. I will come and play it again.

I love playing this course, today was no different. The greens were perfect and the fairways were good for this time of year. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. It is reasonably priced and one of the best values in the area.

Pleasantly surprised ... great shape and will certainly come back next time I visit the area!
