River Bend YMCA Golf Course

I didnt get pass the first hole I came down with the flu that day. hope to go back and play another day. They did have alot of people out that day. They do have a driving range by have to limit it to 200 yards

River Bend is a treat about 45 minutes west of Charlotte. The course is really well laid-out with a front nine winding through a neighborhood and a more compact back nine. Holes are pretty wide-open off the tee but there are plenty of water hazards to watch out for and tricky undulating greens. Really enjoy playing this course since it's pretty fair for golfers of all skill levels.

While the clubhouse and practice facilities aren't much to write about, the staff is always friendly and accommodated our twosome on a busy day with plenty of foursomes. Will definitely be back to play here, hopefully in the summer when conditions are greener and drier.

This a a great play. Of course because of the season the course isn’t in top shape but it’s still well kept. Greens are hard and ball don’t stick well but definitely a golf course worth playing

First time playing here. Loved everything about it. Great staff. Course was in excellent condition and I am a golf course superintendent so I think I know a little something about course conditions. Beautiful fair layout. Great blend of very challenging and simple holes. Mini verde greens as good as they get. I will come and play it again.

I love playing this course, today was no different. The greens were perfect and the fairways were good for this time of year. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. It is reasonably priced and one of the best values in the area.

Two ball played Sunday mid morning. Very friendly welcome in shop. Course in good condition, greens fast but got used to them after a few holes. Only downside was the pace of play. - played first seven holes in about 75 minutes, the other 11 holes took two hours 40 minutes. Despite that it was still an enjoyable visit and we will be back.

Very nice course that I have played often over the last year. The last 2 or 3 rounds, the greens have been unbelievably fast...roll all of the way off the green fast...not real fun nor fair.

This course is in great shape. The rough is thick, the fairways a plush with grass, and the greens where rolling lightening fast.

Really enjoyed myself, I was told that the day before their was a amateur tournament and the greens were running 13 . Didn't know until I was told after hole 17, didn't feel comfortable with my putting until the back 9. But Love it I will be back

The course is in excellent condition. The greens are true and fast. Just fabulous!

Decided to drive about 45 minutes from Charlotte; very easy drive on the weekends without traffic. We had a 10:44am tee time with the Hot Deals offer on GolfNow and decided to come out early to have some range time and account for possible traffic in the way. They ended up letting us on early so we wouldn’t have to be paired with another group as originally scheduled.

Staff were super friendly. Course was great for a scratch/bogey golfer. Greens were immaculate but fast/challenging - in a good way. Nice layout that’s fairly open but will force some fun decisions to avoid hazards. Hot dog was good for a clubhouse/turn hotdog.

Only slight potential drawback was there was no ranger keeping time in the big groups so I could see that it would be backed up on a busy day. We got lucky since most people were scared away with the potential of rain on the day we went, so the groups were pretty spread out until the very end.

I would definitely recommend and will be going back myself.

Always a solid round out here. Fairways are close to being pure and the greens are in good condition.
