River Bend YMCA Golf Course

Fairways were like hitting off concrete greens were beautiful just took 3 shots to get there because of fairways

Played on a Tuesday afternoon, so the course was not real crowded and pace of play was not a problem. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome. The course is still growing in early in the spring, so the fairways, tees, and rough are hit and miss. But give it a month or so and they will be in great shape. The bermuda greens although probably not growing alot yet are very smooth and a great putting surface. The crew has cut down a number of trees making the course much more playable and player friendly. Its a good local course that is great for an afternoon round that wont take forever.

Fun golf Course, fair and friendlier now the big tree on #2 is gone, gone but not missed. Best greens in Cleveland County, great pro and staff. I recommend to all golfers at any skill level

Despite work being done on, in, and around the course, it's in good condition. Some dryness, but overall good condition. Staff is always helpful. Very good people.

Staff is what's great about Riverbend. They have everything you need in a golf course there. Even a practice bunker.

Greenville, SCowstorm. Everyone went off #10 in order to give more time for the snow to melt on the front 9. The greens and fairways had already drained well enough to “play the ball down”. Tip: familiarize yourself with the layout before teeing it up.

Always enjoy playing at River, greens are always outstanding and the layout has many memorable holes. This round was great to play with my 10 year old son for his first round there

Our group play there once a month, can't beat the staff. Always trying to accommodate you.

This course is a good and fair test, but don't let it fool you. The rough is tough to hack out of, and the greens are extremely tough, especially when dry.

Greens A+, fairways A+, tee boxes B, layout is pretty hard, great sand traps. People A+.

Really enjoyed the round on this course. The greens are all you can handle. Just the way I like them. True and fast.

Would be a great place if I didn't get attacked by so many fire ants. Tee boxes were riddled with fire ant mounds. The fairways and rough also had them. Had to move my ball at least three times during play because it was on a hill. Many times I was standing on a blind ant hill and didn't realize until eaten alive by swarm of ants on my shoe/sock/ankles. --- outside of their ant problem, even though the pace was less than desirable overall it was a great course and layout was great

Range very close to hole ten. Difficult to find first shot on hole #10 due to so many range balls on the fairway. The overall layout of the course was good. But even the fairway has random hard dirt patches. Ant mounds all over the course (tee boxes, fringe). Pace of play was less than desirable. When I arrived on the second tee box there were three groups that had not hit and waiting. This continued all the way to the sixth hole. Even after the sixth hole we always caught up with the two some and chatted with them until their turn to hit, this was the routine all the way to the eighteenth hole. But overall this was a pretty good course. Fast greens. Good layout. Great staff. Beautiful course.
