Resort Course at Talamore Golf Resort is a Rees Jones masterpiece that was nominated as "Best New Public Course of the Year" when opened and has become a regular stop for annual returnees to Pinehurst.

The centuries-old tradition of using llamas to help humans carry packs has been revived with a new twist at Talamore. These gentle, hardy animals can carry two bags of clubs with ease and sure-footedness. Their soft padded feet are kind to the delicate surfaces of a golf course. The layout is fun and interesting, Greens were in great shape, quick, and true. Overall condition of the course was perfect, even following heavy rains the days before. The staff was wonderful. Dan gave us great advise to tee off on the back 9 and the pro was quite amenable, thereby allowing us to avoid running into the college golfers on the front and ultimately finishing the 18 hole, cart-path only, round in 3 hours. With no OB, the major challenge was dropping our approach shots near, and below, the hole to avoid the dreaded 3-putts, which were, unfortunately, easy to come by. Would definitely play again. Great value.

This is a great course. I was visiting and wanted to play a course in the Pinehurst area. This was definitely the best value of all the courses in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. The staff was great. The starter let me know about the nuances of the course and was extremely helpful. If you are visiting the area and don't want to pay $300 for a round of golf. PLAY TALAMORE!
